People offload all sorts of second-hand items online and PC components, or even whole computers are no exception. Today I'm talking about two PCs I picked up for £40 ($50). The specs were unknown to me and the seller, so did this investment pay off?
Thanks for watching :)

Love the channel and have been around almost since the begining. I love your format and the fact that you have kept things simple. I do have one suggestion that I think will help. You should invest in a clip on mic that you can plug into your phone. Your audio is really weak in some parts of your videos and a 10 dollar mic will fix most of this. Best of luck to you and your channel!!

the reason the adapters didn't work is because the dvi port has pins to output both analogue and digital signals (why the adapters exist) the hdmi port is digital and finally the vga port which was used can only output an analogue signal.

You could have literally upgraded those by a fair amount. Those are Asus P5G41-M LX2/GB motherboards as can be seen in the video. They are actually compatible with better socket 775 quad cores despite the product page. Not only that, they can be BIOS modded to run cheap quad core Xeon CPUs. www.delidded.com/lga-771-to-775-adapter/3/#asus AND on top of that, this model board can also use a BIOS mod that unlocks the hidden Overclocking menu. www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-ASUS-P5G41T-M-LX2-GB-Unlocked-Hidden-Overclock-Capabilities Furthermore, along with the 8GB RAM upgrade capability mentioned in the video, the included 300W power supply is also sufficient to run a GTX 1650, or cheaper card like GTX 1050 Ti.

you can’t t convert vga to hdmi or hdmi to vga without an active adapter, the thing u got there is a passive adapter. i recently had that problem, i looked up and its because the VGA emits analog signal and HDMI emits digital signals, so da thing u need is either buy an active adapter, or plug it in a VGA monitor 💪🤟🏻

I do know of guys who actually go scrap collecting oh my they pick up some amazing computers not even 12 months old some of them .. a guy not so long ago picked up a load of I7 and even I9 systems just thrown out .. with that though its just a matter of being there at the right time .. he also picked up quite high spec laptops too so scary we buy them for thousands of pounds and they get even more powerful for nothing .. the scrap mans back was full of servers and 43/70" TVs ect some work some broke mad .. good video my friend as per usual ... Neat video. In my area (US Midwest) people on the FB marketplace always want WAY too much for any tech. I still see people trying to sell used 240 GB SSD's for $50-100 ($25 NEW on Amazon for example.) and Core 2 Duo based PC's for $150-250 and used video cards for just as much as brand new and sometimes even MORE than brand new prices. You might say, why don't you buy some cheap tech on ebay and resell it for a profit? Well, I don't enjoy ripping people off, it's just wrong IMO.

Many times with a simple bios update and wishful thinking you can still plop in a core 2 quad CPU and it sometimes works as long as the new CPU has same tdp if you plan to use stock cpu cooler but normally a q6600 will work fine and also most of these PC's can support 8gm max as long as they have four dimm sicks

I now consider that era of machine as 'too old' to try to resell. That being said, I would've booted into Hiren's CD and got the win7 key. It is still a free upgrade to windows 10 and the kind of people interested in that basic of a machine would be more interested in one running win10 instead of win7.

Did you clean the power supply inside? I would be interested for a video for something like that.

Since you mostly make videos on cheap/budget friendly PC parts I guess I assumed you weren't super rich... but you drive a range rover?!? Nice!! Please review your car at some point! Lol
