It would look really weak if you said you was gonna give someone a verse, heard another dudes verse on the beat, and then backed out on the track... Look at it this way... if you have seen J.I.D and Ski mask XXL cypher you would know that J.I.D went first and killed ski on the cypher... if you haven't seen it I suggest you watch it, it's pretty great. But even tho most people say skis verse eas weak (cause it was) ski still put up a respectable enough performance for his fans to defend him. If ski would have heard J.I.D's verse and then said "nah I ain't rapping now" it would be even worse than it was with him putting up a pretty weak verse and his fans couldn't even defend that.

Tech the OG gives Logic a song and puts him on a pedestal to compete with Joyner Lucas, as we all know Joyner paid max respect to Tech by giving a dope verse with great effort behind it. - Logic doesn’t deliver Royce Da 5’9 gives Logic a verse on his song Caterpillar which also puts him on a big pedestal to showcase hunger and lyricism. - Logic goes in a different direction on the song and doesn’t deliver. Don’t get me wrong there’s been times when Logic has done exceptionally well with big name lyricist features like with Royce on his song off Prhyme, and recently with Em on Homicide as I feel Logic came through with good hunger and rap technics on the track even if in lyrics he lacked. Logic has the reputation of being a spitter, I feel sometimes though he just lacks the effort or belief in himself to go above and beyond to compete with the guys that test him in the game.

Logic's head has been way up in the clouds since the Incredible True Story , imo. His lyrical content has sort of "dried out" since his deep meaningful songs as he had in Under Pressure and even before that in his early Young Sinatra mixtapes he showed great lyrics,storytelling and with some killer flow. For me, The Incredible True Story is Logic's last masterpiece and the last time we got to see Logic bringing truly substantial messages along with his music, which on it's own was already good enough. Logic has had great commercial success lately, he doesn't need to prove anyone what he's capable of at this point, but anyone who's been a fan of him long enough knows he can kill it if he chooses to do so. It feels like since Logic doesn't have anything to prove and has already found success outside the music business, he is not going to make that extra effort to put his rap game on an even greater level. So instead we get turn-up music, constant freestyling in tracks, or more comercial albums like Everybody. Unless he feels the need to put his soul into his art again, like he did when he was coming up , the good ol' Logic a meaningful part of the fanbase loved and appreciated, won't be coming back.

Building up to that moment it seemed like he had so much potential because he had released Welcome To Forever, then Under Pressure, and The Incredible True Story, but has since abused his success from 1-800-273-8255 on almost all following features and has put out disappointing projects such as both Bobby Tarantinos, Everbody, and YSIV. I think that for me and many other fans he needs to concentrate on his quality instead of quantity of projects in a given amount of time.

Tech N9ne and Joyner where mad at Logic for him not doing a fast flow on Sriracha, probably not cuz it was a fast song. But also maybe cuz Tech N9ne and Joyner are known for there speed rapping. Logic is also known for that. (Logic is faster then both of them, on tech’s fastest verse he did 9.5 SPS and Joyner fastest is 12.3 SPS. Logic on his fastest he did 13 SPS. Which is faster then Busta Rhymes, Mac Lethal, Eminem, twisted insane, and even Twista) logic did do a fast part. At the start of his verse he was doing 8.3 SPS
