For all the people crying about the phone being broken, kids in Africa dying etc etc: stop whining. They are testing these phones and probably even getting paid to drop them and see how they hold up. And if you're really concerned about charity and stuff, the next time you want to go and see a movie don't go and donate that money. Or when you buy a new pc or console game: don't and donate that money. Or when you go out for dinner, buy a new phone or gadget: don't and donate it. Even if you would do all those thing all the time, you still shouldn't complain here about what they are doing to these phones. They either bought them or companies gave them with the consent of smashing them, so either way it's their own choice. As for the video itself: in general (across other video's as well) it seems the iPhone 6 (Plus) isn't doing well in these kinds of test, which is to be expected. The glass might be more resistant to scratches, but in return the materials used break more easily. Having the glass curved around the edges might "feel nice for swiping gestures", but it's a big design fail in terms of durability.

It seams the HTC One M8 fared the best. But I find it odd that the iPhone 6 got a crack before the 6 Plus, usually if two phones have the same structure, the larger one would be easier to crack. It seams the two iPhones aren't as similar as I had originally believed.

Even if all four phones were the same, the results on the phones would be a lot different. They don't land the same way, and therefore the damage will not be the same. Hence this test doesn't really show that much in terms of comparing the phones.

I was getting my iPhone 5 battery replaced but Apple couldn't repair it because I dropped my phone on the side. So you cannot replace the screen if your phone fell on corners too much. And my screen didn't even have a scratch.

You need to control how they impact the ground. That's actually more important than how high they are dropped. Use a plank and level.
