Good info. I’ve had an H9R for a few years. I like it for kayaking and short dashcam vids, but audio is too low inside the waterproof case and the battery lasts less than hour (even less with WiFi remote). Too bad it won’t allow for external battery bank or external mic. That said, it’s worth the price for sure.

papa dam dam tv Have you tried to connect an external mic to the USB port? Unless I’ve been misunderstanding online comments, it doesn’t appear to be possible. Some folks actually wire a mic into the camera, but that’s about as good as it appears to get. Correct me if I’m wrong.

How well does stabilization do for this action camera in your opinion.I want to buy this for youtube recording videos to have a good stabilization just recording static.What is your suggestion is this camera enough to record static in good lighing envirment??? Thank you for your time.

As far as I remember this one has no stabilization. If your scenery will be static and you film outdoors - this can be a good starter.

Oh, right - Smooth Q -> this is a gimbal. A mechanical unit that can stabilize smartphones and action cameras.

Hey can you check for me...Why now eken have 2 type of h9r...Have 2 different box,number one "eken" brands colour at the rear the action camera is blue and second "eken" brand at rear camera is white colour(like this video)?idontknow...try check out...maybe update,or new pack or fake and original...so which one is good Eken h9r please try check for me and for all viewer?

One of them is the normal H9r, the other one you've seen is likely the "plus" version.

As you have both Eken H6S and Eken H9R ( and i think H9R Plus ) . is H6S newer and better than H9R and H9R Plus ?

Yes, the H6S is a bit better because of the chipset used and the stabilization. I should soon receive for a review the new Alfawise-Eken v50 model, which hopefully will be better than all these mentioned by you, and costs around $70.

I think the H5S is the latest, yes. They usually release a number of cams alltogether. Alfawise is gearbest's brand and they used Eken H9r Plus as a basis. Ambarella chipset is inside, so the quality is expected to be quite good.

Likely different batches. I doubt someone will make a fake of the H9R... It is quite budget anyways. Well - if it is a fake one, the most obvious difference will be the menus and navigation. And it will perhaps shoot terribly bad in 1080p.

I have seen on the review videos old version without EKEN logo has the fake ones for sure but didn't see any fake ones with EKEN logo on.. In another side I have read some comments; white EKEN logo is the old version blue is new.. But just checked EKEN website and EKEN logo is white.. I think the latest ones comes with white logo at the moment. Maybe 2015 or 2016 whatever versions are with blue logo.. @@orhan14oglu If it shoots good - just ignore the hassle of trying to find the truth. Could be a limited batch, could be manufacturing mistake and so on. 20MP photos are interpolated - the true capacity of these sensors is around 4MP.
