I bought a metal platform bed from Amazon. Then I bought 6 of those large plastic storage crates from Walmart. The crates fit perfectly under the bed. Zero wasted space on drawer hinges, etc. Crates can be pulled out and moved to different rooms as/when needed. Much more storage space than the fancy beds shown here. And a cost difference in the 1000's. I'll keep my setup.

I've lived in a studio condo now for almost seven years and love it. If you have a small home don't fill it with crap. Choose your furniture wisely and sparingly. Everything should have at least one legitimate purpose. Two or more purposes are better. For example, the two end tables along side my couch provide a surface for a lamp, book and coaster. They also have two drawers each for useful storage. I have a little bistro table where I eat and it doubles as extra desk space when I need it. My entertainment center is made up of a long row of modular chests of drawers which provide a ton of storage. You don't have to spend a ton of money to live comfortably in a small space.

I know this video is quite old, but a tip for editing videos that people will watch through is: show what is being talked about. While the voice over was talking about the space inside the Living Cube, you were showing clips of the ladder and bed on top. @Nathaniel's Phone that’s the best price i’ve ever heard of
I could see this as something a landlord could provide if they were generous, but unless you are staying in a rental for a long time, it would suck to move. Homeowners on the other hand, sure.

I drew up basically this same idea for my studio apartment. I was just like there it is. Holy cow. Better in real wood nicely stained with maybe some diamond plating accents.

Imagine a murder scene : Cop: detective, we've searched the entire house, there's nothing. But she doesn't have a bedroom Detective: hmm *Pulls out the bed from the wall* Detective: I almost missed that *The blood and murder weapon was on the bed. The murder weapon was a knife and it was stuck in the matress*

I watched expecting actual furniture, not building projects that require large spaces and high ceilings, you know, the things in a place where you don't need space saving furniture.

These things look like they would cost an arm and a leg. Like enough money to live in a house with a big space so you don’t need them. And why the hell would you put your TV under the bed where you can’t watch it?
