Many dashcams choose to record smaller files (like 1 minute files) so that in the event of a severe crash where dashcam loses power, only 1 minute of footage may remain unwritten to SD Card and will be lost. Writing 1 minute files also reduces the chance of data loss due to SD Card corruption. Most PC based video playback software automatically recognize consecutive files and play them. Video editing software also do the same.

i have transcend dash came and its been 10 years now. working like a charm. many cars came and went. but transcend is still working like charm. always consider we have extreme weather. in summer we cant even seat inside the car and AC takes half hour to get cool. and sd card errors. and i bought 2 other oem dash cams for my another car and they both died in few months. transcend may be expensive but i feel it is worth it.

After doing lots of research for over a month i think 70mai Pro Plus+ A500S Dual Channel is one of the best dash cams that is available in the market. Its a bit on the expensive side at Rs 11,000/- but it’s totally worth the price. It has got front and back camera, it records even when the car is parked, it takes very ever so slight battery while the car is parked, (using it for over six months now). It has got an optional ADAS function. It logs all your trips, the speed at which you are driving, location data and so on. Its a really good product. Will definitely recommend it to everyone who drives a lot esp on highways.

I am using Dashcam since 2014. Apart from all the points mentioned in the video, please choose one with capacitor instead of battery. In our hot conditions, that will work well. That was the reason why my 1st Dashcam was Transcend Drive Pro 200. Currently I am using DDPAI Nola M3. I am no big fan of screen less dashcams, so planning to buy Transcend Drivepro in future.

@@piyushverma387 I am currently using DDPAI Nola M3 which is a capacitor based one. It is very compact. However I would suggest you to buy the one with GPS tracker so that speed is also recorded. If you have the budget, go for one with inbuilt screen, it makes changing settings very easy. I struggle with my current one as it does not have screen and everything needs to be done through app.

1 thing you missed is SD card support. Some of these cams support only a certain type of card and memory size. Please add and make video of best dash cam irrespective of price.

I am a 70mai M300 user since a year and i must say it's a fantastic & great dash cam. Wen a person spends 10 lakhs for a car why not 5000 for a safety of ur car. This is a must buy product, especially on Indian roads.

I would suggest you to go with Ddpai dash cameras, they basically comes with super capacitors instead of lithium ion battery.... as Indian climate is mostly hot, Dash cams tends to heat up allot..... that might have adverse effect on batteries, may lead to burst... it's better to consider Dash cams with supercapacitor ... I'm using ddpain mini 5 as front camera and ddpai mini 3 as rear camera.. Also ddpai comes with inbuilt emmc storage... always better than memory cards You go with hardwire as it's a coupler to coupler connection... You also have option to disable dashcam of it detects car battery voltage

Inbuilt memory is useless if camera gets damaged in crash. Card usually survives, and can be opened on PC.

I have been using Nextdigition A3 dashcam for over a year now and its is superb. The video quality is good enough (1080p). You can easily read the number plate in the footage during the day and night. I use it with a CPL filter to reduce the dashboard glare. Being hotwired to the car, it provides parking surveillance too and doesn't affect the battery. If it senses that the battery health is low, the dashcam will stop recording. The customer support is responsive too. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget dashcam since it's priced at only 3,790.

Dashcam are becoming Important these days but some things i personally feel are very Important - 1) operating temperature- as they will be charging (from sunlight) and working simultaneously, so they shouldn't get heated quickly! 2) Video / Audio Quality - It matters the most as Dashcam ka kaam hi footage record karna, so it matters most, but yes audio quality could be sacrificed! 3) Its Stikyness to the Mirror - many times i have seen the best mobile holders falling oftenly, so its grip should be good! 4) It should have Android Auto / Apple CarPlay - It becomes very handy to see the footage..

I've installed a Qubo 4k dash + rear in my car & I sincerely say this it's so good! even the zoom, but yes 4k+ rear 1k means easy storage poof. that's why I've set my front to 1.5k & now 40gb of 256 is like after 8 days instead of previously 3 trips. Bought it on offer for 10k max, now the dash camera with a digital screen on the front camera even works as my reverse cam. Pretty awesome input at night time. And yes it does have adas enabled voice features but I usually set my display to rear view thus adas gets disabled. kinda annoying with those voices but pretty good deal considering I got a 2-5k total quality with great sound input & output. CHeap ADAS (helpful on rural roads tbh) features & last but not least 3 meters cable with proper kit just under 11k compared to rest of the market plus hero badging.

@@abinavjain3 I haven't used nexi so can't say on it, but have been using qubo for 3 2 months now can definitely say it's great buy. Just that there's slight limitation on what sort of sd card is supported but not much of problem really (coz Samsung SD cards are great deal afterall). The normal adas without calibration is useless coz it practically just consider anything not a 4 wheeler as a pedestrian & get's annoying to repeatedly hear watch for the pedestrian walking. But yes that's what speaker adas is about. They could've removed this and brought down the price slightly but 10k & I still find it more value for money. The bigger con is the 1 minute video recording download. No matter what seconds or section you try to manually get the clip, it by default only downloads the part which it considers as 1 minute. For example if there's a 3 minute recording and want something between 1:16 - 2:10, you can't force your way. You'll have to download both 1 & 2 mins seperately to get your records.

@@Reddylion not much but it should be well over 6 or 7 hours. Now I didn't wait for it to max out, so my storage for slightly less than half (about 120gb) was filled in about 4 hours. Oh as well, now after the update you can choose between 1,2 & 3 minutes of downloading capacity. It also shows the basic storage capacity it'll take of your phone. Pretty neat feature.

Hi Tushar, go for 70mai Pro Plus+ A500S Dual Channel Car Dash Cam and it should cost you ~11.5k. I am using it for almost a year now and satisfied with the product. It uses Novatek NT96580 processor and Sony STARVIS IMX335 CMOS sensor for their front camera. Worth it!! Any other vendor who uses even better sensors than this, will be too expensive for a marginal increase in quality.

Have been using DDPAI mini for a few months now. Was working fine earlier but when I changed the phone, the camera hasn’t been able to connect to app/phone Wi-Fi, app support is very poor these days which keeps crashing or goes to a freeze mode every other minute. Also no customer care team to help so my advise pls avoid DDPAI, planning to discard it as it is useless now

I am using Qubo Dashcam with GPS since last 5 months. I found 2 problems with it. One is that there is problem with its app. It stops working may times and due to this recording is not saved for that duration. I use to record videos on mobile to have long duration. But when the app stops working then whole video disappears. Second problem is that it has function of jolt detection and this function works even car goes through bumps and minor damages of road. And again due to jolt it does not records video. Even I tried to contact with customer care but their response was not proper. Voice clarity is good and video clarity is also good. But I am not that much satisfied with their service.

Those who are looking for dash camera invest in at least 4k dual channel and gps based dash camera. Else don't buy wait n then buy. In 2019 i bought 70mai 4k dash camera. So in 2023 which cam you should buy. For any legal proof gps n speed is required.

Hey Mohit, Had a few more choices but the Qubo Pro is by far the best. There is a hidden cost and that is the Installation by car mechanics. So my brother and I fixed it ourselves. Saved about 5 g's. Cheers😊
