I've seen alot of successful day traders use vwap as a strength indicator. They find a stock with tremendous volume, wait for the stock to claim vwap, buy and then sell at the peak. It then drops below vwap, wait for the stock to reclaim vwap and buy again. As long as it's above vwap, the buyers are in control.

Everyone talks about VWAP but nobody says where to place it initially? I use 2 VWAP.. one at the beginning of the previous day start and one. at the start of the day. I also use 9 and 20 days EMA crossover along with VWAP and play within the two VWAP using the crossover averages as point of entry and exit to long and short. Works for me. No guarantee it will work for everyone.

One can turn setting of vwap to daily, weekly or monthly. For day or swing trade. ;) more ways to use this indicator in conjunction with other things.
