Traditional Laser pointers don’t show up on many TVs. TVs are now the norm in most corporate conference rooms, so this remote (including the virtual laser mode) is quickly becoming a must have.

I have been using the Spotlight for over two years, and probably about 200 seminars. One of the unique features is that if you have two screens you can highlight on both screens at the same time. The Spotlight is an attention grabber.

Great review! Straight to the point, showing your own presentation and the usage. At the web we find so many videos about this product, but not so many giving real examples like your review. Thanks a lot. Cheers from Brazil.

I've been using this remote for a few years in a church setting and it's great. Easiest remote to use with guest speakers too. Other remotes have too many buttons and can be confusing to a guest in a new setting but this one is intuitive and dependable. I disable the pointer feature and show our guest the giant forward button and smaller back button and they're good to go. Well worth the cost.

The other remote from Logitech with the play button and screen on and off button has cause me issues. Once a speaker was using a PDF instead of a PPT and by hitting one of the buttons he switched us from mirror mode to extended screen and his presentation disappeared. Obviously that was my fault for allowing the presenter a choice other than PPT only. 5 demerits for Griffondor.

Does this pointer work on television programming? Such as pausing the show, and magnifying something on the show???

Laser mode might be not as useless as you mention if you are presenting on a TV as regular laser beams dont show on TV screens.

FWIW This can also be paired with an iPad Pro via Bluetooth. Very limited functions tho. Can forward and reverse slides in PowerPoint and Keynote but no pointer function. But at least if you get stuck presenting from an iPad you can move away from the device.

I assume that while in a video conference, (Zoom, Webex, etc.) that the hightlight option would work on both the presentation side as well as the receiving side? (as long as the content can be seen on the far end)

I just returned mine because the software needs to run in administrator mode always and my laptiop is managed by my company IT and they do not allow that.

Is the clicker loud? I would like to record presentations and I’ve had trouble with clickers making an audible “click” and it is distracting in video recordings.

Hi, I have just filmed an adviser doing a presentation,( head and shoulders only in view) in which he uses a presentation clicker. which is out of sight, but you can still hear the click every time he presses the button. Do you know of a silent clicker?

Hi Luke, I am using multiple screens and one of the screens is PowerPoint (which I host on MS Teams) and the other screens are web browsing and Excel. Could I navigate powerpoint using spotlight on a secondary monitor screen and at the same time, continue browsing and working excel at the primary monitor screen at the same time?

Can you get the highlight effect to work on the iPad os?

Not to my knowledge. There’s no specific app for it and I can’t find another way to configure it.

Tech Craft thanks for the reply. I hope soon there would be an update from logitech to use that feature in ipad Os.

@@tech_craft Hi Rob, could you try whether it works to use the assistive touch settings (mouse support) in PadOS to set up the top button with a proper effect. Maybe it’s even possible to activate the built in Laser pointer function of Keynote.

This product doesn’t work anymore when using the receiver. Disappointing for a product this expensive. I took it back and got a cheaper clicker. On my Mac the next and back keys don’t work. This is probably due to macs software update. The mac thinks the presenter is a keyboard and asks you confirm by pressing a ‘key’ on the presenter which the presenter doesn’t have. And so I start up a PPT and when it’s connected via receiver it only clicks once in a ppt then stops

It's been a while since I had to give a presentation in public so I haven't used this for quite some time. I'll dig mine out and test what you're saying - sounds like a real pain.

Would I be able to connect this to my phone to control ppt etc off it? Simply next and back would suffice. I'm struggling to find a clicker that is good quality and doesn't need a USB receiver
