It's all about the pricing. If you find a good deal and you manage to fiddle through some good trade-in, or find some mobile provider that gives you solid discount (potentially combined with trade-in option), you can really get very phone for as low as Vivo goes price. Especially right now when Black Friday and Christmas sales are going on. But it's true that comparing this phone in its original price range would lead you towards S24. This phone loses at that price point, and only solid benefit is its size and battery. Some people claim that the undercooked Exynos is doing better battery wise and temperature wise, which apparently leads to smoother experience. But I would say that's more or less problem with its ability to cool itself passively through the frame size. Really, the basic price point of S24 FE is not good, and eventually, it's a shame that Samsung really promotes itself like this.

Yes, the A15 5G and A25 5G are well rounded devices. Samsung's best price to features. That dangling nipple on the top screen is the only deal breaker.

Too many people are reviewing this phone without owning it. 1) No SD Card Slot…buy a phone A35 or A55 then. 2) No headphone jack. Maybe look for a used A52 S from 2021? 3) It’s crap because it’s Exynos. Exynos 2400 series is flagship, outside of the US it’s used in S24 and S24 Plus. 4) I can buy a Plus or Ultra at the similar price. Only if you actually pay $650 for it. Samsung currently lets you trade in any junk for $200. Also student discounts, Samsung Shop app $50 off and other discounts can bring down the price to under $500. 5) Bezels are too big…yes they are. 6) 1080P screen, yes the plus has 1440p. 7) Camera is not flagship. This phone has a telephoto lens unlike A series phone and non-Pro iPhones. It’s almost flagship.

I agree. It has most features of a Flagship. 1080p is perfectly fine. I haven't used corded headphones since 2019. The cameras are great. My gripe last year was the huge S23FE bezels - S24FE is still thick - just about ok. 6.7" is nice to have BUT the size now and weight of 212g is too much for me. It's weird how much heavier a phone from 170 to 220 grams feels. I think S21FE was about the best in bezels/size/weight but it felt too budget like and cameras were so so. We'll never be happy! 😂

The FE that was successful imo was the S20 FE 5G as at that time, the S20 series had issues like the Exynos 990, the Ultra's 108mp auto-focus etc so the S20 FE 5G was like the saving grace and brought alot of flagship features but for way less. And a 865 too.

Thee best galaxy phone i ever owned, even more than my s24 ultra I use now, was the S20FE5G. I regret trading it in when I did but that phone was everything I forgot I needed. Great camera, nice size screen, great battery, expandable memory, quick charging, 120 htz, dark navy color and felt great in hand. If I could go back I would have kept it at least another year. 😔 Then owned the S21FE and that was ehhh...okay? The camera was good but not fantastic. And the battery died faster than I wanted.

Having OWNED the S20FE 128Gb, it was a GREAT phone at it's time! Coming from a NOTE 10+ that I dropped, I REFUSED to PAY for another NOTE the S20FE was not only was faster, it was a better experience without the S-PEN that I seldom used in the first place! Now, having used the S23FE 256Gb with the Snapdragon 3 Gen 1 it got HOT quite frequently and the battery life SUCKED for a years time. I bought the S24FE 256Gb, and what a difference! NO heating, doing the simplest of tasks, has reduced bezels, lager display, and the battery life is NOTICEABLY improved, and is snapper with NO stumbles. Even though it uses the SAME camera hardware the S23FE has, the picture and processing times are BETTER, especially in LOW-LIGHT conditions. Overall, VERY happy with the S24FE over the S23FE.... Wireless charging and DEX are also a MUCH-needed thing, which is WHY I'd NEVER consider a 'A' series phone. Most people have NO idea what DEX even is that I use DAILY!

SD cards are slow, get a USB c thumb drive, and have way faster transfer speeds. If you need a local backup, got Samsung USB c thumb drive transfer a 4gb file in less than 15 seconds won't get on an SD card.

I've watch several S24FE videos but yours are my favorite. Is there a reason they cant center the screen? I'm ok with a bit of a bezel but it has to be symmetrical. Is this FE running in 60Hz?, it looks choppy.

A 120 Hz screen is no good if the processor can't keep up. I've had the A53 and using the A54 presently. The Exynos 1280 and 1380 chipsets just can't execute 120 Hz as well as a flagship chipset. I tried out the S24+ and the S24 FE at a retailer, and the differences in scrolling and smoothness is very apparent. The same is true with reviewers calling this display "gorgeous." In reality the the colors on the FE are garish and horrid looking. Now the Exynos 2400e chipset might appear to be flagship level, but the real world experience is quite different.

I just got a brand new Samsung Galaxy S24 FE (128GB, graphite color only) for *$99!* via US-based Cricket Wireless. Have to purchase 2 months of their 'flagship' 'unlimited' networking service which adds another $120, but hey....2 months of unlimited data and a great phone like this for *$219* isn't bad at all. Have to stay on Cricket for 6 months for it to be unlockable. Can change phone plan to a cheaper one after the first 2 months of the 'unlimited' networking service you purchase. Cricket Wireless uses AT&T towers.

Dude! You MISSED the mark here! If you have NO idea what the Exynos 2400e means, this makes this video even MORE worthless! LET ME EXPLAIN for you, the Exynos 2400 has 10 cores which was prone to heating issues and thermal throttling where the MAIN core ran a 3.2Ghz. NOW, the 2400e which has only the ONE main core tuned down to 3.1Ghz with a LARGER heat-pipe chamber so, what this means is you take a SLIGHT performance hit WITHOUT the heating and thermal throttling issues and STILL get the battery saving qualities which STILL lets you play the MOST intensive games WITHOUT the heat and thermal throttling! What does this all mean, you ask? So, the 2400e now preforms between Snapdragon 3 Gen 2 and 3 CPU's with lesser heating issues, thus giving you a snappy experience at a marginal performance hit that MOST will ever notice! Coming from an S23FE with the Snapdragon 3 Gen 1 which ALWAYS heated up doing the most simple of tasks and battery suffered as a result! NOT only are the bezels reduced on the S24FE, it has a LARGER display, offers ALL the camera features as the rest of the S24 line-up EXCEPT RAW, preforms MUCH better, and has a MUCH increased battery life!. You obviously NEVER actually used the previous S23FE and are talking through your a$$! As an ACTUAL user of BOTH the S23FE and the S24FE, you are WRONG. I've taken side-by-side pictures, and you NOTICE the difference as the processing power is greater and low-light pictures are even better on the S24FE. So, if you WATCH other reviews, you will see the Exynos 2400e is FAR better than the Snapdragon 3 Gen 1 that is YEARS old offered on the S23FE.

@@Messy_Marv I think it's great that companies like Samsung are stepping-up giving Qualcomm competition. It will be interesting to see what the Exynos 2500 will offer. Just like AMD is now doing to Intel with their CPU's! I was an Intel user for a LONG time but, my last few PC builds are using AMD. As I stated, the Exynos 2400 is impressive but suffers overheating and throttling and just a small tweak on ONE core the 2400e with larger heat chamber now preforms well even in sustained gaming or tasks. I NEVER thought I'd own a phone with Exynos and yet here I am!

Minor correction, they were SD 8 not 3 and regarding 2400e, think the surprise was not using the prior years SD chip (in US) in 24FE so SD 8 gen 2 was expected (from S23) since 23FE had SD8 Gen 1 from S22.

As much as it is enticing to upgrade my current S20FE 5G, its kinda a bummer that the FE should be of a service to the fans cos of the name. I got the S20FE instead of the S21 series or even the S21 FE is due to the removal of the micro SD card for storage expansion (which is a deal breaker). Like what's the point of calling an FE variant if its not up to what the fans want? I can understand that if they brought the SD card back to this model, it may potentially hinder the sales of the main S24 line up but then, let the people have the option which model they should buy? If they have the means of afford the main S24 series, then by all means, if not, just give us the features to the FE line. The options now are probably the A55 or having to order a bigger storage option due to the missing SD card feature.

Coming out with a new phone every year it's catching up with these phone manufacturers people got money to spend on other things to get in the phone every year so I'm pretty sure the rollout has been kind of lackluster just like apple and the iPhone 16 That's a lot of money for a phone that looks like last year's model in a lot of people eyes lol

128 GB (budget spec) 1080p non-LTPO (budget spec), sub 5000 mAh battery (despite phone being large), inefficient modems in Exynos chip. This thing has nothing really going for it. Better import Oneplus Nord 4 (16/512GB) for the same price if in US. In EU it is a no brainer as they sell the FE for 799€.

Don't rush to buy. just wait 3-4 months. It will automatically reduce $100-$200 because it's Samsung. We all know Samsung 24 Ultra released $1300 but now it's available $800-900 . That's why I always say don't buy Samsung mobiles immediately after release. At least wait 3-4 months they always reduce their prices unlike iphones always drop price after release their new iphones just $50-100.

The S24 FE 256GB costs the same as a regular S24 128GB variant. The S24FE is the better bargain. If you don't care about a telephoto than an A55 is an even better deal. It's all Exynos here (UK) so that doesn't matter.

I sampled this phone at Best Buy the other day alongside the S24+ and the differences are quite stark. For starters, the colors on the FE are just garish and unnatural looking than the 24+. The 120 hz scrolling is not as smooth as the flagship screens. The WiFi modem has the same problems that the A series has when I did a speedtest. The WiFi connection needs to be rebooted for it perform to its full potential as opposed to the WiFi modem on the 24+. The Exynos cellular modem is far inferior than the Qualcomm cellular modem and its guaranteed to have relatively poorer SoT when the device is connected to cellular service. Overall, just a poorly thought out phone with poor specs. As of this morning there isn’t a single customer review of the device on the Best Buy website. And that in itself is quite telling.

@@marksouthwell4490 I, disagree. The 128 GB version is retailing for $650 in the US. A phone with these kind of specs is bad value at this price point. You can get the OnePlus 12 (256 GB) for $750 now with true flagship specs and none of the cheap factor that the FE has. Heck, I would even argue that last year’s base iPhone 15 is better value than this pile of hot rubbish. The Moto Edge Plus 2023 is available for $450 now is also better value than the S24 FE. I had my mind set on getting this phone but just spending five minutes with it was enough to convince me otherwise. At $650, I can’t even apply the phrase “you get what you pay for”, in this instance. Samsung mucked up here big time. I foresee postpaid carriers giving this away to their customers for may be $4 or $5 a month. It might just become a carrier financed hit among certain folks who couldn’t care less about specs but just want a working phone with a large display.

The truth is that I would prefer to buy the 512Gb SGS24 Plus than this FE, where its processor is below the SD of the SGS24 Plus and its screen has the edges better reduced than the SGS24 Plus. I've never liked Exynos at all, I trust Qualcomm processors much more. IMHO!
