Amazon completely wiped my 4k max ,with an update and I had offloading switched off , that can't happen with this box . If amazon would just leave us to do as we please with our sticks people wouldn't be moving away in their thousands. Keep digging that hole amazon .

For £10 more, the Mecool KM2 Plus Deluxe has very similar specifications, but has 1GB Ethernet and a MicroSD card slot and a better remote control. Unfortunately, both boxes have only 2.0 USBs. Not into gaming and very pleased with my first month with the Mecool box which otherwise matches my Shield performance.

Looks great, but i don’t think its worth paying 5x what the Onn cost. I still think the Onn is the best bang for the buck. I think a better comparison for this box is with the Nvidia Sheild. It seems to have the a little bit better specs than the $150 or even the $200 NVidea Shield Pro which I think tops out at 3GB of Ram but has a faster ethernet with the 100/1000 mbs. Definately an impressive box for those needing the extra Storage and Ram.

Video output is locked to DV or HDR10, no way to use SDR. Audio formats are not user selectable, either. This box has barebones options in general. Not ready for primetime at all.

Unlike the ONN 4K & Firestick.. I have a firestick TV box that is almost 10 years old & still working well.. The operating system of china boxes does not seem to last that long.

I bought this box a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately the current firmware doesn't have an adaptive hdr option, so buyers be aware it'll always stay in hdr or dolby vision, which is a damn shame.

No Dolby TrueHD. No DTS-X. No DTS-HD MA. No Auto-Frame-Rate. And only a 10/100 Ethernet port makes it a HUGE let-down for Plex/Jellyfin users wanting to play high quality REMUX files on a local network. I'll be sticking with my Shield Pro 2019 until a new Android Box offers complete lossless audio pass-through with a 1Gbit Ethernet Port and Auto-Frame-Rate.

The 4k ONN box runs Android 12 and can be expanded to get more storage. This G1 4k box runs Android 11. If it's so new, why are they running an older version of Android. It looks ok but not worth the price, too expensive.
