Techeiles - It's Not All Black and White

A documentary about the the Tekhelet/Techeiles dye. The documentary discusses how it was lost, the search for the chilazon, and the reasons to believe the murex trunculus was the source of the dye. The documentary also includes a balanced discussion from a traditional Jewish perspective as to whether one should wear Tekhelet in our days.

And this is exactly why I will live Torah-observant as God commands, but I will not convert to Judaism. They have allowed their additions to what the Torah says to create a religion that does not even allow them to do the simple things that God commanded, like simply add a blue thread to it. He never specified a specific shade of blue that had to come from a specific source. He simply said add a blue thread to it. Do you actually think he will say to you "well, that isn't quite the shade of blue I had in mind"? But, when he looks at your tzitziot and there is no blue thread, he will know that you didn't even attempt to keep his commandment. When God sees the blue thread in mine, even if it is the wrong shade of blue, I feel he will see that I at lease tried and did my very best to follow all of his commandments.

@@maximilianbini8544 Torah also tells us to keep far from falsehood. And the video makes it seem that Reform and Conservative movements are "in the dust bin of history" despite the fact that they're both larger than Orthodox in the US, and Reform is still projected to be a large size in 50+ years. I don't understand the Chareidi practice of lying about demographics, especially when it's irrelevant

Anyway, in Israel where our destiny is, baruch HaShem the conservative and reform organizations really are insignificant, as they should and will be. Here in the land of Israel, as opposed to the diaspora, things improve all the time😊 and society is always getting more connected and on track. "From Zion the Torah will go forth".

Don't know what the intention behind this production really is but it definitely does not come from a sincere care for Emes/Truth, otherwise you would not have ladies singing in the background!! Must be monetary or ego...
