It was my Final Year project in which I developed a Lora based Wireless Sensor Network for a Solar Plant Management. I successfully Implemented it in 130 MW Solar Plant and achieved 7 km of Range in open area and 2.6 km in urban. I implemented 42 LoRa Nodes, 5 Relay Nodes and 1 Master Gateway for communication. LoRa is really a future for WSN and IoT . Thank you for such a great video..

Everytime when I'm studying about LoRa, I felt like, If I had a girlfriend and her home within a 5km range then I'll definitely make a device to text her 24x7. That will be free ,non-traceable and no need to think about service recharges. Unfortunately I don't have a gf.

@vijithviswambharan775
@vijithviswambharan775 4 жыл бұрын
@@parthbhandari619 use lora modules with Arduino. Find the appropriate libraries from internet make the changes you needed. You can observe the transmitting and receiving signals in serial monitor of your Arduino IDE. If you want to make it mobile, add Arduino compatible display and keyboard to the setup. You may need to download more libraries. If the inputs/output pins are not enough to build l, go with an I2C module. Adding more libraries may end up in shortage of program space, if this happens you need to upgrade the Arduino to a higher one. This is the low cost set-up. If you want to do it much better use a raspberry Pi board.

All the testing videos you refered are LoRaWAN. You have tried Lora Node to node communication. Get a LoRaWAN gateway and communicate with a Node. You will easily get 20km in cities
@techiesms
@techiesms 4 жыл бұрын
But LoRaWAN ultimately has a LoRa module built-in and then it broadcast the data to the cloud using internet So first it's a node to node communication and then it goes to internet Correct me if I'm wrong

@@techiesms Not exactly, A LoRaWAN gateway is very different from a Lora Node. There are lots of things that can be done to improve range. Yes, line of sight is one of the most important things. But you should also consider that signal gets lost and reflected on each connector and low quality antenna. The video of Andrea Spiess, he showed how you can improve range by increasing gain in the receiver, because increasing transmission power in the transmitter is not allowed by law.
@GoatZilla

Bro. It has castellated edges for a reason. You don't solder wires to the edges and then solder those to a header. You solder the header directly to the PCB.

Nice work! Good on you for not giving up on getting a good range. But, and I have to state this, 868 Mhz is also an illegal frequency. Most standard modules that you get in the market are either 433 Mhz, 868 Mhz or 915 Mhz. Unfortunately, NONE of these are legal frequencies in India; one would almost be convinced that 868 Mhz is allowed, but it is still a whole Mhz beyond the acceptable unlicensed frequency range, which in India is between 865 and 867 Mhz only! Still, this is just a technicality. If you're doing this for a home project, I don't think the Wire Planning Commission (WPC) would mind.
