@@m.buckles7474 Samsung goes back two model years as fare as software updates are concerned. with that being said, your Samsung Galaxy Note8 should be running One U.I 1.0 and Android (v) 9. I've been a huge fan of Galaxy Note phones with my first being the Note II and preorder each year. LOL I don't know why but I have all of my old Note phones tucked inside their original box. Anyway, I love Bixby and I ask of her help just about every time I pick up my Note 10+, infact she is dictating for me right now.

@@captainfallsalotatppic2508 Nice to see I am not the only OCD viewer on this channel. Except for my last flip phone I placed in a time capsule ( like 15 years ago) for my son to open in the future. I wish I still had the very first flip phone from Motorola from 22 years ago, it was the size of a brick almost. But it was stolen along with my truck at the county fair way back then. Oh well I am sure 1 day smartphones won't even exist, they will probably just implant some chip in our head when we're born to manage everything we do. Glad I will be dead by then.

I know I'm late on discovering this video but thank you for this! I think it's important for people to know that Bixby is meant to control the phone, not replace Google Assistant. This is some of the most useful advice ever. This is actually INSANELY helpful. I was on the edge between a one plus 7 pro and a note 10 plus and it think this fully persuaded me and its a 200 dollar difference since I was getting the galaxy watch active 2 anyway.Trade in and resale should be better too.

Thank you for sharing the usefulness of Bixby. I’ve known for sometime Bixby is the device assistant and not in competition with google or Siri. It amazes me how quickly so many people “just want to get rid of Bixby” without really knowing what it is or does, they’re just following others and not researching or thinking for themselves. Bixby is absolute genius you can control devices especially your mobile device to act as a super secretary. If you want to know how many quarts are in a gallon ask Siri or Alexa. If you want to operate your mobile device or use it to control smart devices use Bixby. All these systems are listening, and recording, 24/7/365, if you are a sinner, as are we all, you may not want to invite mega-tech to examine your every utterance.

Looks good. Several things I like: You don't put a picture in picture of yourself like some do. You make it about the device. I also enjoy your hand gestures as you speak, very expressive. . I like folks who put a time / subject list in the description, but you cover so much ground in this one, it would be a small book. I didn't know at least 3 or 4 things you demonstrated. Things like swipe in Bixby for the keyboard, and I missed the slider for radius on "place" reminders. I shared this one with a few IT engineers I work with who like Tasker. Tasker WAS the best, and is still great but Bixby has gotten quite powerful with Routines. Outstanding!

Absolutely, this video has changed my view of Bixby. I had seen all the tech reviews saying “turn off Bixby” etc, but I now see how useful it can be. I’ve already implemented some such as the enlarge font option at night as I do wear reading glasses, and turn wifi on and off when getting or leaving home. I’ll see how well they work in time but if they do then this is definitely something that I will use. Thanks very much for the tips.

Thank you for introducing the power of Bixby. I have used the Tasker App to achieve a lot of these type of routines in the past but Google managed to break them on a regular basis. Because of Bixby’s system level integration, I now have access to things like airplane mode and data again. Tasker is probably still more powerful, but it is way more complicated to program and keep functioning. Just need to remember to turn some Tasker profiles off so they don’t conflict with the new Bixby Routines.

I have been using many of these commands on my Note 9. Good to see someone finally making an useful video. I found out many of the amazing thing Bixby could do on my own, there is a lack of informative video on Bixby commands. Also, on Note 9 Bixby Routines are not available, so I use Routines from the Good Lock app, which is exactly same as these Bixby Routines. I hope other Note owners already knew about these routines, because they are awesome.

Brilliant. I have Google Home downstairs and an Echo dot upstairs (don't ask) so saw no need for Bixby and the negative press didn't help either. But based entirely on your video I've now re-enabled Bixby on my Note 10. Many thanks for a great, easy to follow tutorial. PS. Great video It's true, people who knock bixby don't understand what it's supposed to do, for controlling your phone settings, there isn't anything anywhere near as good. Siri is not any good for the Internet, certainly not for phone settings.

k brooks you’re right that’s why apple has bought the shortcuts app and integrated it with siri on ios12 to give siri more power and the ability to control certain parts of the device that it couldn’t do before, but I still feel that bixby has more permissions than siri in terms of changing the device’s settings.
