Wanted to mention to you guys I reached out to the Sales Engineer from Eaton and he is checking in with the engineers regarding the best solution to the power cycling (if you don't follow the steps I highlight in the testing portion of the video) I'll update this comment as and when i have more information so stay tuned 😊👍

Glad your video showed the steps in connecting power, the 5S i purchased had no such instructions in the manual. I will say the last 2 CyberPower UPSs I purchased both failed epically after 3 years of use, having the batteries fail without warning at critical moments. Those units also showed themselves as fully functional in the CyberPower software. I'm hoping Eaton is a much better brand.

Same here! I actually sent the first unit I got back - it did not have the yellow sticker. And the manual 'quick start', or otherwise doesn't mention anything. The only hint would have been the battery replacement, but who would look at that for a new product...

Great review - very informative. But can I ask, is this Eaton UPS very loud in normal use? (ie. when the mains supply is available). I currently have a nearly silent PC, so don't want a noisy UPS.

UPS is a life saver when unexpect power outages. I been telling myself to get one still haven't yet, the day my pc die, I think it will force me to get one lol

Probably the reason for a colour power cable is so you don't accidentally unplug it thinking it's something else, and not realize it until the battery is dead

You can just unplug it or plug it into an extension cord after it's fully charged

Great review. One snarky comment. Looks like you plugged the UPS into an extension cord. This is certainly not a recommended practice. Maybe fine for a demo but you should point it out IMHO. Cheers.

The version of the UPS Companion software from Eaton that I have (V2.1 build 028) has a setting to enable or disable auduble alarm.

LOL Thought the same thing.. It's a UPS not a gaming case. He seems to prefer a nicer UI with broken functionality than this one that's simpler and fully functional. If the UPS is well designed you wont have to even use the UI.

I'm not a prude, but a branded channel offering tech news dropping F bombs isn't cool. Sometimes people are at work trying to research what to purchase for their company.
