My RSP1A is the best radio deal I've ever gotten, and I own a lot of radios. So nice to have a company that produces an outstanding product at a very nice price. Two words to describe the SDRPlay folks: Excellence with Integrity.

I own a RSPdx, and really like it.. I use it with SDRuno and SDR console. SDR console is great for tracking and listening to satellites with the SDR. SDR-spectrum analyzer was finally recently released with support for the RSPdx, and I use it as a spectrum analyzer as well.

That was a great video, thank you! I have the SDR RSPdx and the Uno software and love it, works great for me and easy to use once I got used to it. I have a strong nearby AM broadcast station and this is the only SDR I have been able to use without problems from the station.

Thank you for this. My SDRPlay (RSP1A) is perhaps my best little SDR device for reception. The software on Windows works great, but on linux some of the filters don't seem available. I've received more with it than my sdr-rlt dongle or the nooelec ones. I was pretty amazed that it was made in the UK, and available so cheap when imported into the US zone (importing UK products is hit or miss with brokers fees).

Very interesting. Excellent quality control. I buy broken bluetooth headphones on ebay and repair and sell the ones I don't want. I've found bad solder joints on speakers and on surrace mount components that were placed incorrectly. So my compliments on your QC.

Great recievers and had a demo at our local club but surely must start looking at TX option too? Even if just qrpp. I bought a pluto over this despite poor freq stability.. Before that I had the LimeSDR mini but could never seem to get it to work. 73 DE ZS1CDG

Thanks matt, great video. I have a rspdx but I'm also considering a 1a, I just do L band, and want to monitor 54w and 98w at the same time on the same PC, I also run 5 VB cables, So is it possible to run the 2 sdrs on 1 PC, or do I need a different approach

If i had a 100 million i would open a factory and make a big SDR that would fit in a 13" laptop bag, full radio spectrum that uses a metallic case as the antenna, accessible web interface with builtin additions like RFID, NFC and smart card read write with support for community based plugins an internal battery, a drive bay for a removable SSD that stores logged ADS-b, WiFi probes and voice comms etc.

A SDRPLAY COMMERCIAL
@stewartrv4 жыл бұрын
I hope somebody at SDRPlay is going to read this. IMHO the priorities are wrong for the software developement, getting a cross platform version is MUCH more important than adding miscellaneous features to existing software. If you are able to market to Mac users for example you open up a whole new market. I know there is CubicSDR and others, but it simply isn't the same otherwise they would also be used on windows as a preferred SW, which they aren't... People won't by a new RSPdx becuase of a plug-in or a new scheduler (which is under the surface anyway), but they will go buy an alternative if it works on Mac or has software that really takes advantage of the hardware. My biggest disappointment was that the SDRUno software won't even run on a Mac properly in VirtualBox! So pleeeeeease if we are going to have to wait months for a MacOS release at least make it work in a virtual machine.
@TechMindsOfficial4 жыл бұрын
I’m too looking forward for cross platform support. As Andy said in the video, it is coming, but he’s the only developer so resources are used wisely. As soon as it drops on Mac/Linux I’ll be straight on it. Thanks for watching and I will pass your message onto the SDRPlay team. 🙏
@derekdowns62754 жыл бұрын
I've been waiting YEARS for "it's coming". Don't hold your breath. Linux is in the same boat.
@geheniau4 жыл бұрын
and now get it running EASY ( not like UK where they drive on the left, got inches and dont use the Euro)..What I mean...Make it EASY work on GNU Radio, SDR#,etc etc, NOT your own concepts. BUT I have to admit it beautiful stuff, I bought it, but it doesnt work on my equipment. Why...Why do you think most people use RTL-SDR?
@TechMindsOfficial4 жыл бұрын
The SDRplay devices used to work on SDR# but I believe air spy removed its support. You may be able to find an older version of SDR# but I highly recommend to use SDRuno, it’s fantastic software and soon to be cross platform 👍
@derekdowns62754 жыл бұрын
Years later, I'm still very disappointed that they still ignore the linux community. Can't they at least make an appimage of the SDRuno software? I regret buying this product and wish I would have purchased an Airspy or something else.
