You should do a comparison, featuring all the best action cameras, and give them rewards like Best Bang for the Buck, Highest bit rate, and Most versatile. I think that would be great. Also something I would also like to see is which ones you use when you go on vacation.

I doubt I'll ever see any of these in a local retailer; SooCoo, Dazzne, is market. Problem is, these names....too Chinese. Gitup Git, Xiamo, Blackview, Amkov, they need to hire a "marketing person". You should also take a look at the latest firmware update (1.20_20151013). It brings a lot of improvements like 720p @ 60 fps (real 60 fps, not double frames like on the SJ), better auto exposure, better audio sampling rate and also a fix regarding the 3.5mm jack audio adapter cable. It's also worth mentioning that it has 100% GoPro size making it compatible with waterproof cases, frame mounts and with most gimbals for aerial videos (or hand held).

@luis8bgt8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your videos Techmoan. In this one Gitup Git 1 is clearly the winner. To bad for the Dazzne P2 that change Green into yellow, yellow into orange and turn the bright light into kind of blue, it also looks to me that Git 1 does better in low light conditions, littler be. One thing I noticed when you where driving, the Git 1 was able to catch licence plate number very clear and fast as all post sign direction and what I really love was that you can also count the branches leaves, is amassing how well this camera detail the trees. I have not seeing this in GoPro 4-3, Dazzne, Winmius, Xiaomi Yi etc. I have been watwing Action Camera reviews for a wile. Thanks again, good video as always.

I think the microphone discrepancy is all about the pinout of the MiniUSB-connector. Some microphones may do both phantom power and audio on the same pin, where as some other probably has phantom power on one pin, and audio on another pin. That would explain why the Boya is that silent.

I wonder if the adopters for the mics are causing signal loss vs the straight mic that it comes with, or maybe it is a pin related issue? Not a bad budget camera for the price considering the near GoPro is $10 more but does not have WiFi, external mic hookup, or interchangeable battery. And the tripod mount included is very nice!

The small screw on the waterproof housing is not a screw up in the factory. The foam compartment is made for shorter screw. If you screw on the longer screw, it won't fit in the packing box. Tanks Techmoan for another decent review. You already helped me a lot with choosing dash camera for my motorcycle and car but one thing is still missing for my needs, those cameras does not have a back camera. I know you previously reviewed cameras which had a second camera which can be placed on the back of the car or bike but they nowhere nearer to be as good quality as one you just reviewed. I would love to see review of decent camera with back camera included for similar money and similar quality as it would be my perfect choice. I know you driving car and bike so it may be perfect for your use too. I'm waiting for this review anyway so if one day you will do it I will be even more grateful for you. Hi: I really appreciate your incisive reviews of tiny HD dig-cams and other electronics. You seem to be very knowledgeable indeed. What I really don't like about these tiny HD action dig-cams is their horrible extreme wide angle curvilinear distortion ! Yuck ! For me, unless there is a specific menu setting to shoot a normal "flat" picture, the extreme distortion renders these cameras useless for any practical video production application other than surveillance/undercover work.

8:17... I thought the phone box colours on the git1 look more realistic than the ones on the right which strike me as far too cherry coloured. I don't recall the paintwork that colour, and at 8.21 the building on the right seems to have a blue tint in the stone. That blue tint would also account for the more cherry like colour on the phone boxes in my humble opinion... At 8:26 (though I don't know the area) but the brick buildings look more realistic on the left i.e. git1 than the right. The bricks on the right image are also too cherry like (anad again extra blue will cause that I would suspect) It would be interesting to know if the painting on the boards was green or yellow. This would pretty much immediately reveal which one is producing the correct colours. Further to this I'd say that the artificial blue of the right image simply made the sky "more blue"... too blue. One might see such a sky in Dubai or California, but not really in the UK. I think the camera on the left is far more realistic.
