Excellent video. We use a mix of technical and fundamental which has served us well for decades. Also appreciate a relatively simple but often forgotten piece of advice you give. Try and avoid predicting markets on those days where significant news is about to be announced (unless of course you are a gambler). A brief and informative video guide.

@DisciplinedTraderUK3 жыл бұрын
No problem at all. You can use any timeframe to find support and resistance levels. The general thought is that the higher the timeframe, the stronger the S&R levels are (so S&R levels on a daily chart will be stronger than S&R levels on a 5 min chart). It's finding what works for you and your style of trading

Most newbies fail simply because they don't understand how the market works in general or in particular how the market relates to stock/forex or currency pair they entering. If a retail trades doesn't grasp what the market makers are doing and when they are doing it, the greatest strategy in the world will fall. For new traders the markets are like entering an F1 race before you've passed your drivers license test. One more advantage is the possibility to benefit from repetition. Without this type of strategy, you probably won't know what worked or why it worked and even if you did, it would be hard to repeat therefore for you need a perfect mentor to teach you perfectly to enable you invest and trade accurately on your own, which i highly recommend you Mr Hercules He guides me with the exact time frame to trade and now I just received my first withdrawals of $30k in my bank account today I'm very happy, my advice is for you to contact him he will guide you perfectly well, and thank me later, I guess this is a good way to show my heartfelt appreciation for literally breaking the chain of my financial debit when I needed it most, you can contact him on his email 📧 (elvishercules48@gmail.com))

Is the moving average only based on the body of a candle or is it also including the stick?
@DisciplinedTraderUK4 жыл бұрын
Hi Coco, the moving average is typically set to use the closing price. So the price corresponding to the top of the body on a green candle and the bottom of the candle body on a red candle. You can change this in the moving average settings although the closing price is the most commonly used method

Is it a good simple idea to just invest based on the 52 week return? Like, if you buy low based on the 52 week high..youre almost guaranteed to get the return you want based on that no?? Let's say the 52 week high is $10 but now the stock is at $1..wouldnt that be a good buy??
@DisciplinedTraderUK4 жыл бұрын
What makes you think that would work? If a stock has fallen from $10 to 1, that sounds like something I'd avoid buying personally. That said, hypothesising like that is great but need to back test ideas before acting on them
@lil18thletterking774 жыл бұрын
@@DisciplinedTraderUK but stocks do that all the time don't they? That's the whole idea of buying low and selling high..if it drop in price and I go and check and make sure the company is in good financial standing standing why wouldn't I buy? I'm just saying that in the case of let a say I didn't know much about trading wouldn't that be theoretically, a good rule of thumb.
@DisciplinedTraderUK4 жыл бұрын
My point was it could be. But without testing it, you won't know. Plus the theory of that doesn't add for me. Why has the price dropped in the first place? Just because something has come down, doesn't mean it will go back up
@lil18thletterking774 жыл бұрын
@@DisciplinedTraderUK well that's why I said you would go and look at the companies financials and the news and such. Plus you can always put stop limits if it becomes to non promising.

Hi Tank, there are some books on technical analysis although I haven't read any of them so I can't give you any recommendations. Everything I know about technical analysis has come through either learning online, a previous mentor or just practice and testing with a certain tool or technique.

You suck! Now the market will not conform much to reversing old supports and resistances. It's a daily if not intraday market now. Look at aapl yesterday fb amd tsm and qcom. They're not getting dumped anymore at the end of the day. Put buyers are getting killed. They consolidate higher then may slowly dump but with these being the real stocks It's unlikely any technical analysis will work with them. It's all luck fools. You're lucky to win and will lose most of the time. 95% losers 5% winners! I haven't had a major win in 1 month.
