I had to add a re-mineralizer filter after my RO system, so the low water probes wouldn't go off in my Strega at home. It's the direct connect model with no pump or water tank. I need to order some gaskets and a new pressure gauge for it from y'all one of these days.

I don't see the same setup as the lower-end models (e.g., BZ07) for the OPV tube in the water reservoir. Is there a way to remove the water reservoir (for cleaning, etc.) in those models despite that OPV tube?

Thanks for this warning about RO water. What about Lelit Bianca? Same problem with distilled water?

How often do we add ‘pinch of salt’ to the reservoir? Every other time we refill it? Also, I was curious about the warm up time on the Bezzera Magica.?? I like the volume of the boiler (2liters), but am concerned about the time needed to get heated up. I think the wattage of its resistor is 1350. Whereas Lelit Mara has 1400 watts resistor to heat 1.5 liter boiler and the recommendation of the Brescia company is to turn the machine on 30 min prior to use ?

A pinch of salt depends upon how pure the water is. It can be once or twice per tank full. Or, it can be once every 2 or three tank fulls. It takes about 30 minutes for a full warm up on the Magica. The Mara is about 20-30 minutes. It is the E61 grouphead that requires the heat up time.
