I'm a left handed shooter and I have always trained to adapt myself to a right handed gun because you never know when or if you may possibly end up in a situation where you're not fighting with your gun, and most guns are set up for right handed shooters. Additionally when releasing the magazine, I leave my trigger finger up along the frame, and release the magazine with my middle finger using the tips of my ring finger and pinky to help grip and maintain control of the pistol. This method works especially well with small sub-compacts such as my CR920 as it opens up my hand to allow the magazine to completely drop free and prevent pinching when inserting another magazine.

This is a great video. I suggest some very basic videos more often. For instance: I’m a 3rd generation, 20yr machinist. I’ve chambered 50cal rifles and have some parts in magpul lineup, etc… I love guns, but I am not savvy. Intelligence and common sense alone gets me by, and that isn’t good enough! In fact it’s dangerous. I bought a KSG and XR920 this past weekend, and have NEVER loaded a shot shell into a firearm. Laugh sure, but listen. I literally make these weapons and have zero experience using them. So use caution saying “I think everyone knows that” because I’m a perfect example of how false that statement is. Love the videos, thanks for the help, new shop looks nice, keep it up!

My local range just announced their Shadow Systems range day on July 16. Can't wait to check out the goods in person.

As a lefty I use the base of my middle finger (not the tip) to release the mag on righty guns. I also switched out the slide stop for an enlarged one so I can get to it easier. Slide stop was intentionally said, come over the top to release the slide, it's one motion that works for everything.

Whichever way, make sure you practice. I started trying to change over to pulling the slide back instead of using the slide release at a gun shoot and I think I was riding it back forward and causing double feeds.

I doubt anyone will see this but I reversed the magazine release on my CR920 and the release felt extremely stiff afterwards, and the magazine itself felt "off" when I would put it in and take it out. Using pmag that came with the firearm. Have yet to try it on my MR920 Elite, but I put the magazine release back to it's original right hand configuration as it just felt bad. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue. Any feedback would surely be appreciated! Love your firearms, and your videos also, a wealth of information

With so much confusion can you make a video explaining your service of replacement of the gun if it is used in a justified shooting situation? Is it for LEOs only or for any owner of a SS?

What range is this? Is this a local range? Looking for an outdoor range in the DFW area.

That exact grip u do at 4mins in is the grip that got me shot in the hand (may still loose. My pinkey) with a 1 in a million outta battery discharge. Right as I started to rack boom..... I actually talked to yall about it... My name is Jeremy My finger was OFF trigger witness on pooice report confirm that... Luckily it was pointed at ground n the bullet (50grain liberty civil defense 9 mm 2000 fps) hit ground n decintagrated.. So no ricochet THANK GOD... still have no idea nor does the police armorer/ instructor why it went off... Just luckily I was practicing good safety pointing it at ground.. N finger off trigger... I mean I'm 42 been running glocks almost exclusively for 23 years... Being a lefty I'm fine I use index to drop mag.. But that reverse grip on forward slide serrations is a NO No just seeing u do it n seeing how close ur pinkey is to muzzle makes my hand hurt still.. Well this just happened may 4th.. Day after my. Gramp Passed..mabye he was looking out as it coulda BEEN ALOT WORSE than a blown out side of my hand and a basically useless pinkey I'm probably going to have to get removed as ive gained no feeling back in front half.. N the back half has a ti plate. The muzzle blast blew apart my first bone in pinkey the bullet went in between my pinkey n ring finger n under the knuckle leaving it unscathed n blew out the whole side of my hand... But crazy my pinkey finger itself is from the outside was undamaged just the blast obliterated the 1st bone. I have 1 nerve left going into my pinkey now.. As it did massive damage below knuckle and out the side of my hand Well u know trevor I sent ya pics.. Lol No 1 really is to blame it was a 1 in a million accident... The gun was went over n over n over its fine.. But my finger was off trigger. So well. Leave it as unexplained.. But take away careful with thst grip u use at 4 mins in lol but not lol

I’ve had continuous issue with the slide not locking back on an empty mag, 8/10 won’t lock back. Is there a fix for this?

Can I please get my DR920 fixed? I really want to like it and love supporting American made but hard to like something that doesn’t work. Over 650 rounds of quality ammunition and still won’t reliably feed through an entire magazine. I’m told it needs a barrel now but it takes over a week to get a email response from customer support.

Justin, just shared this with my Technical Service team. They let me know that your barrel shipped out last Friday. You should have received an email with tracking info, but occasionally they get stuck in junk mail. If you’d like to email me directly, I can share the tracking info with you there-don’t want to dox you here! Jessica@shadowsystemscorp.com

Just wanted to give an update. I’m happy to report that I received a replacement barrel earlier this week and had a chance to take my dr920 out to test it and went through 365 rounds without a single hiccup. Thanks Trevor, Jessica and Kayli. I’m now a huge fan of Shadow Systems. American made and great customer support!

To release slide I pull slide always
@seanvine392 жыл бұрын
Pulling and releasing the slide has a major downside, and you demonstrated that as your hand slipped off the slide on your first attempt. You need an ambi release on the next gen guns.
