I passed my CISSP exam today on July 9th at 100 questions on the first try ! This was an immensely challenging exam ! Watching Andrew's think like a manager video helped and so did TIAs bootcamp and his inclusive videos. That being said, this test is different ! Lot's of challenging situational decisions. As much preparation as you can do, sound managerial judgement is paramount in passing this test. Good luck to everyone and thank you for your passion for teaching Andrew !

TIP: stay calm and answer all the questions as best as you can even once you pass 100 questions. I answered questions up to 150 as my time expired ( a pass is a pass) 🤷🏾♂️. Watching all the comments about an automatic fail if you answer all questions lead me to believe I failed even before the exam was over. Was overjoyed to found out I passed! Hopefully this helps someone else in the studying/preparing phase to keep grinding! Huge thank you to Andrew for this video!

Question 24 - the first step after detecting a security incident - NIST says (NIST 800-61): "The incident response team should work quickly to analyze and validate each incident, following a pre- defined process and documenting each step taken. When the team believes that an incident has occurred, the team should rapidly perform an initial analysis to determine the incident’s scope, such as which networks, systems, or applications are affected; who or what originated the incident; and how the incident is occurring (e.g., what tools or attack methods are being used, what vulnerabilities are being exploited). The initial analysis should provide enough information for the team to prioritize subsequent activities, such as containment of the incident and deeper analysis of the effects of the incident."

@@jaya2821 Tips for the exam, don't get down on yourself as the exam is draining and exhausting. The whole time writing the exam I didn't know if I was passing or failing and it wasn't because I didn't know the answers (I have been in Security for years) it was because the way the questions were worded. I am very technical minded, getting out of that technical mindset is not easy. Your video really helped break down how to approach the questions and peal away the answers choices that are not correct for the question until one was left. Its almost like the CISSP exam isn't testing your knowledge but rather your mindset for security. Keep up the good work and will check out your other videos for my next course.

Q 24. Thank for the stupendous effort put in Andrew. However, the incident response steps listed in both the CBK and OSG is Detection --> Response --> Mitigation --> Report --> Recovery --> Remediation --> Lessons learnt. Since we "detected" the incident, the next step is "Response" where we activate the IR team who determine how big of a delay in the incident, how long the impact, whether to declare disaster etc. Hence, I believe that A. "Identify the scope & Impact of the incident" should be the answer
@jonathandavenport1172 Жыл бұрын
Totally agreed. How can you contain something if you don’t know the scope of it?
@mikeytmpmikey Жыл бұрын
I would have cancelled out the first option as this is a Distributed Dos not just a DoS. There is more than one source. Also, the wording is horrid. The question specifically says "during the mitigation stage" but then talks about detect and response. It seems to me the best answer is B.

Thank you for that video which helped as the commens say many people. I also passed yesterday with 100 questions. What is 100% true is that nearly all of the questions are „best choice“ questions as you say it many times in your video - thank you for that, it helped me preparing for the exam. What I want to say is that many of your tips CAN help answering questions but the tips are also dangerous in a specific way. Especially when it comes to „taking the answer which is the most general“. This can be right but in 50% of the questions the general answer is not the right answer, the right answer is the most specific answer. So what I do think is, that if you have in the question a specific scenario you should take the most specific right answer - if the question is general you should take the most general answer. This is how I did it yesterday and seemed to work good. However, again thank you and good luck to all!

@TechnicalInstituteofAmerica , can you please check the calculation for question 40? Using the formula you provided, I think the answer should be 4,950

Yep, I came up with 4950 as well, not an answer either?

Came here to see if someone else noticed it. 4950 instead of 5050. Thanks for this amazing video.

GREAT 50 CISSP questions for reinforcing some of the ISC2 CBK. It really helped me to understand how to approach a specific question, and how to think like a manager. Very helpful for exam preparation and building confidence towards exam day. I am waiting for part 2 on another 50 CISSP questions soon...
