My friend, how did you release the 3 black and 1 white dowel clips towards the end? I see the pinch tabs but do you twist them off or just pull them off while pinching? I’m having serious trouble on the last step to remove the oem scoop… thanks in advance!

Nope. I think because I used the foam tape it helped dampen the vibration and spaced the scoop up from the paint.

Hey is there a trick to those plastic tabs. Broke the first one, and tried some others. They don’t seem to separate.

If you're referring to the shroud black clips that you have to remove first: you need to pry the center part out first with the a flathead screwdriver. Once tbe center pops out, you can then pry the outer part to take it off. Don't pry the outer part first. If you're referring to the the final clips to remove the OEM hood scoop: It's a bit tricky to unlatch all of them at once but I didn't break any. Those round clips has like small tangs/tabs on the side. You need to push the side of the clips in with a flathead so the clip fit through the hole and unlatch.

@@TechnicalMechanical thanks man that helped a lot, and was able to finish the job. Yeah I was referring to the center pop clips. Broke one and lost one to the engine bay gods, lol. I thought they were similar to the front bumper clips and could use the same kind of plier tool, obviously that didn’t work, and had to use the flat head. Thanks for getting back to me so quick.

Hi, did you have any problem scratching your hood paint?

I looked and haven't seen any issue. I think it's because I used foam tape which kept the scoop from touching the hood.

just curious when you run fast does make some noise?

Taken to around 90mph, I haven't heard any noise from it.
