@@smyly_sy its won’t make sense cuz asus has marginally bigger battery. Its not like apple that optimisation plays big part. Android Phone with largest battery will win over other phones with same SoC but smaller battery.

@@subhojit2003 not always. The UI optimisation plays a big part. See Oneplus vs Xiaomi vs Samsung phones have the same 5000 mAh batteries and 8 Gen 1, but Oneplus lasts longer in some tests

Yep Nick has made this video more like a Phone Review rather than a Cinematic Movie Theatre (fast pacing on everything which demands every text that showed in the video a "please pause to read" moment) also focusing more on the phone and not switching back n forth like crazy in previous video, great job Nick - more improve and still waiting for some. I have a Redmagic 7 Pro and the phone is great hardware wise. Software wise its a big let down. Feels kinda outdated looks from a phone of 2006. There are features missing and not working like screen cast is not working. The Android patch is from march 2022, The google play system is from December 2021 and won't update because of the bugs. Battery bug the phone won't go in doze mode in nights. Miss translations what make some words sound weird. The phone received 2 updates and they still haven't fixed a thing. Maybe the reviewer should be aware of this and say something about it but they won't because its a paid review.

Wow! SD 8+ gen 1 runs cooler! I guess TSMC makes miracle in efficiency. More efficient and easier to cool than the scamsung made sd 8 gen 1, 888 and 888+. Waiting for your battery test bcos its more intresting if you test sd 8 gen 1 vs sd 8+ gen 1 phones

nice rewiew Nick , i own a 7 pro here and so far i can say im happy with it but still since i also own a black shark 3 pro and a lenovo legion duel 2, i can say that all these cooling systems so far are not so good in terms of cooling comparing each model with their processor . My idea is that all these Snapdragons the more they are getting stronger the less a new cooling system can match temps properly ...so honestly i doubt that an 8 gen 1 plus can be a miracle ..like a i doubt this red magic 3 months new cooling system can dissipate better than a 7 pro ...i rather believe that this new phone could be a tricky furnace honestly .....let me know after 1-2 hours of competitve gaming hows temps are ...considering games like Eternal Evolution.

Actually the sd 8+ gen 1 IS a miracle! It´s way easier to cool (doesnt get as hot as the 8 gen 1, 888+ or 888) and doesnt throttle down so much, as the 3 previous sd´s. Also the fact, that the sd 8+ gen 1 is 30% more battery efficient compared to the sd 8 gen 1 is also nice 😀

@@SirDiabolik79 Its official news from qualcomm, that the sd 8+ gen 1 is 10% faster and 30% more battery efficient. That it also doesnt get as hot as the sd 888, sd 888+ and sd 8 gen 1(its still gets hot tho, just not as much as the 3 previous processors) is info from tests with phones, that have the sd 8+ gen 1. It really was time, that they fixed that overheating with the new processors

Hey Nick, great review for the global model. Was just curious though, didnt the Selfie camera get halved to 8 megapixels? Or was that a typo in the Chinese reveal event? The photos look better than the original 7 Pro so I assume is a slightly different sensor with better optimizations.

I thought that as well but the global version seems to be sticking to 16MP. They did tell me this and the photo res is 16MP as well. I think they have spent more time on it this time round to improve it with better optimisations✌

@@TechNick I did some proper checking and even dmed Red Magic on Weibo. Looks like the selfie camera is still 16 MP *BUT* the lens size and aperture are improved significantly for an UDC, hence why your selfies looked (in my opinion) dramatically better. Good to know they worked on that but shame they didn't properly announce it or get it right in the original presentation. Will probably cop a Chinese 7S Pro soon, thanks Nick!

@@6413__ sorry for taking a bit. the CN versions have way faster charging (135W with a 165W brick in the box that can be used for other things) and usually have a tad better software support. Translations are the same from what I can tell but make sure bands are not an issue. Apart from that, I just prefer CN variants more in general.

im still wondering though why they're using 120hz refresh rate and 520hz touch sampling rate instead of 165hz refresh rate and 720hz touch sampling rate like on what they did before. its a big disappointment to see a gaming phone such as nubia redmagic who used to be in a lead when it comes to refresh rate and touch sampling rate that are now using a lower refresh rate and lower touch sampling rate

520hz touch sampling is for the triggers, the screen has 960hz. And going above 120hz is useless as games don't support it.

They are both good if you buy iPhone for gaming on 120 fps or90 fps the screen dims after 5 minutes of gameplay it sucks If you buy 7spro it will be a monster at first months after 5 or 6 months it will start lagging and performance issue I don’t recommend these phone instead buy iPad Pro its monster no dimming no issue
