Technics EAH AZ80 vs AZ60M2 Review | Best Premium Earbuds?

I got the AZ 60M2 on sale at Amazon, and what a GEM!!! Amazing Sound Quality that takes you on a journey with each song. Sounds nothing like the top of the line Sony XMs, Airpods Pro or the Bose QC Ultra. It is at another level for sure. It makes you want to listen to your favorite music all the time. Thanks. I might have considered these until you pointed out that the ANC is better on Bose and Sony. Difficult to audition earbuds and so reviews are important. These are now off my list because my main requirement is good ANC.

Hello, there. Quick question: did you finally get the Bose earbuds? If you did, how had the experience been? I started looking at the Bose QC2 but connects regarding connectivity issues made me keep searching for other options and I was starting to lean towards getting the Technics. I'm still undecided. @@jorgegaviria5807 I bought sony wf-1000xm4 but find them rather uncomfortable so I recently bought Edifier TWS1 Pro 2 which are being sold at £40 (gbp) on Amazon. The Edifiers (imho) have good anc, are comfortable, have decent sound quality and very inexpensive.

​​​​@@jorgegaviria5807I got the Ultra a couple days back and it does take like 15 seconds to connect after taking out of the case (but putting back pauses immediately). There's also a lack of control customizations (single and double taps can't be remapped). While the ANC is good, you will almost most certainly have to deal with a popping/sizzling noise in the left earbud that they blatantly say is normal behavior. I want to try out Technics for these reasons but the fact that the ANC isn't adaptive makes me hesitant.

Nice review Uncle Spurt , have they fixed the charging case issue , i had the AZ70WE and the case constantly depleted like it was constantly charging the buds even when they were charged , i could use the buds for 5 minutes ping back in a fully charged case and 2 days later they were flat , i sent both sets back as they were like that. Shame as liked the sound.

Thanks for this review I have a pair of Samsungs Galaxy Bud Pros and whilst I'm happy with the sounds etc the fit is terrible they constantly fall out even sitting on my sofa watching this vid I got fed up with constantly pushing them into my ear!

LDAC doesn't work. Trying to change the setting in the developer options in my galaxy s22 ultra to LDAC and it automatically changes back to AAC even though LDAC is enabled in the technics app. Not good enough for me!

Between 3 are almost the worst sounding pair of earbuds I’ve ever heard apart from the noble audio Fokus h anc and the Fokus pro. Whatever you do, don’t buy either pair if you like audio quality.

I preordered the status between pro which were fine for a time until I started trying other audiophile true wireless earbuds like bang & olufsen and sennheiser, etc. I tried the between 3 out for 30 minutes and I couldn’t handle any more; so I returned them. Tried every eq setting, different genres, etc. they sounded really tinny and muffled like there was a veil over my music. AirPods Pro 2 were instantly clearer and crisper, and those aren’t even close to the best sounding earbuds on the market. In comparison, my jlab go air pops with Android on Spotify sounded better, if that’s any indication.

​@Emi-rd1lk I did that as well with my old Galaxy buds. Accidental touches because I just wanted to adjust the fit in my ear were very annoying. But I also see the appeal. You don't have to press into your ear hard to press down a button, you can have geastures with swiping for other controls, and a design with no buttons is easier to make water and dust resistant. Although I feel both can be used at the same time. A button with a touch sensitive surface with the option to turn it off and only have the button.

Great review old chap. Capital! These could hit the spot, but the lack of quality ANC and at 350USD 🫨 are overly priced atm. Disappointed by my Samsung Galaxy Pro Buds 2 after 6 months. They still fall out of my ears if I turn my head or lunge to grab the baby/dog leaping from a precarious, titanic level height and the case has begun to deteriorate. So daddy needs some new'uns.
