Michelle shows how to use the Circular Sewing Attachment for Baby Lock and Brother sewing machines. The kit comes with the attachment, Braiding Foot, Cording Foot and template. Michelle recommends using it with stabilized fabric and an extension table on the sewing machine so you don't get any distortion. You'll get a close up of inserting threads in the cording foot and then sewing out a beautiful feather stitch. Pro tip: Do not drive (push or pull the fabric) and let the machine do the sewing!
Bonus: Michelle loves that it comes with a concise, printed instruction book -- something you don't see a lot anymore.
Michelle Gillmartin is a part of the world-class education team at A1 Vac and Sew. She has been a sewist, sewing machine and software expert for many years. We are so grateful to have another life-long crafter, maker, learner and fabric hoarder in the store! She's a HUGE Disney fan (ask about her bags when you see her) and loves to make the seemingly difficult things easy (ask her about software). She is the resident Scan N Cut afficionado as well! You'll see Michelle showing free online tips, techniques and livestream throughout the week.
A1 is an independent retailer in Reno, NV that provides lessons, classes, service and sewing machine sales. Watch the livestream videos Tuesday through Friday and find a daily deal or chance to win a giveaway. Tuesdays will feature a FREE and quick video technique. You can also purchase a prerecorded video class on projects or take a live video class to learn with a group of like-minded crafters. We hope you enjoy our videos, any way you want to see them.

You were right the first time with mm rather than degrees being what the numbers show on the attachment. The measurements are for the distance from your needle if your needle is in the centre position. It tells you what the radius of your circle will be. You double that measurement to know how far across the whole circle will be. So a setting of 50 is 50mm radius and 100mm diameter - a circle pretty much 4" across. :-)
