I like the way people compare right away, and even assume they are of a particular race. I'm a professional tiler, these guys would kick butt with equipment. They make do with what they have available, international standards go out the window when you are in economically challenged areas of the world. I would hire these gentlemen in a heartbeat. Awesome work ethic, I wish I could find guys with that work like this. I pay top dollar and treating my guys well they show up late, kill time, mistreat equipment, steal, and do not take pride in craftsmanship.

Man you hit the nail on the head, perfectly said. People are very lazy these days I manage and I have employees that are lazy, show up late, call in a lot, always on their phone instead of working and getting the job done quickly, they steal tools and do nothing but complain if they are busy.

я так ложу...виставляю маяки по лазару, замішую полусуху гарцовку, вирівнюю підлогу від 0 до 120мм більше не доводилось робити, потім сміливо хожу по цій гарцовці, без переляку завязнути в грязюці, ходити по плитці не додумався, і настільки рідку суміш робити теж не додумався ( але проексперементувати цікаво, наскільки площа плитки прилипає до стяжки і з якою міцністю) , далі замішую клей намазую гребінкою місце укладки і саму плитку, укладаю, служить надійно, довго, навіть в магазинах, пенсіонний фонд, поштамп, де нагрузка на підлогу колосальна в порівнянні з приватним будинком...

Listen up everyone, it's not about if its up to code, or osha approved, and i doubt they have an HOA, they are just doing the best with what they have. I think it's amazing, I wouldnt know where to begin if they told me to lay tile that way, im used to having tools to do most of the job. Thumbs up to those guys.

This is close to the way quarry tile was installed. In 1977 I mixed this way. Installed quarry in pure cement and grouted. The last time I did this was at a hospital in 96. The floors were level and flat with a flashlight shadow.

Quarry tiles are installed with a rack that has a level top grade to it. The thinset is laid with a 1/2" notch trowel.

I had red quarry tiles in my 70 year old kitchen. They were layed with pure cement, Tuck me 2 days to get them up. They were welded on. They did not want too come up.

Im a tiling contractor and this is the exact method i was taught almost 40 years ago. It works. I've tiled supermarket floors, station concourses, and factory floors this way and i bet those floors are still there. There is a comment here saying 'no crack suppression, no mapei rapid setting grout. No clips and wedges' What are you on about! Crack suppression! Clips and wedges! If the sub floor under a correctly prepared and tiled floor wants to 'move' and crack/loosen the tiles that is not the tilers fault. If done correctly a floor tiled this way will last forever.

Did you put the thinset down like soup? The tile sounded hollow when he tapped them. There is no adhesion here.

@@rap3208 I respect their primitive methods to get the job done, but in a job where big money is on the line I would not risk this method. It would void all warranties from the tile manufacturer / supplier. What shocks me is no back buttering of the tiles and that soup mix that has way too much water to be effective for anything else than a suction bond. I think I can remove those tiles in whole without any cement on the back of them.

Ну прям как наши Джумшуты! Потом после них плитка вся отлетит, чистая, даже раствор снимать не надо... Так это так у нас в больших магазинах делают - ходишь по плитке, а она вся играет.

Раньше так и укладывали плитку. Будет держаться если есть демфирная лента и стяжка не кривая . А вобще если плиточный клей хороший, то его хоть уем маж , плитка не отлетит.

Very nice work!! Love the color and glossiness of the tile, and the base along the wall, but most of all, love that you used BIG tiles!! Big tiles are always the best!! One question - did you use an adhesive?? To hold the tiles down?? I think you did, that water mixture at the end, but not sure. Thanks for vid.

Нашу затирку нельзя так жидко разводить! Высолы и пятна появятся после затвердевания. Кроме того нужно дождаться когда влага полностью выйдет из стяжки и только затем затирать. Иначе на затирке также появляются пятна. Это и в инструкции к затирке написано. А эти ребята положили плитку против всех современных правил и ГОСТов )))
