Have had mine for 3 years and it's the best coffee maker I've ever owned. I use the Bunn 20115.0000 12-Cup Paper Coffee Filters and have just upgraded to the Baratza Virtuoso+ Coffee Grinder.

Let’s see a comparison between the standard technivorm vs the grand...I’ve always heard the flat bottom filter makes a better cup compared to the cone-shaped filter 😀

How was your recipe on this one? How much coffee on the 60oz?

We have this one and use a fairly fine grind at 73 grams of a medium dark roast. I found that heating the carafe up with hot tap water before brewing helps the coffee stay hotter longer. After all, it's BIG carafe.

They recommend using white filters as the brown and copper filters could leech flavor into the coffee

Con: no clock nor timer. You can't set anything in advance so the coffee will be brewed when you wake up. You can set it all up the night before but you have to turn it on in the morning and wait for it to brew.
