phase problems *can* arise with low cuts... (kind of an important nuance) However i do not understand the reasoning for a sharp hi pass in the video. There dosent seem do have any audio sub 30hz 🤔

Phase problems CAN arise, but if don't have phase related tracks, it probably won't be an issue. You just have to check. Besides, I'm pretty sure that Live's EQ Eight is actually linear phase. You do have to be careful with low cuts, but the removal of that extra supefluous energy can be pretty important to achieve proper loudness in techno.
