I'm very envious of anyone who can mix vinyl so seamlessly on just a simple set-up (no waveforms to look at, no software to read the bpm). It's a real skill!

I noticed the cross fade at the bottom of the mixer is on 50-50. She also sped and slowed down incoming record with the base of the table and her thumb, along with pitch vertical slider, to make sure she had the bpm/speed right/matched with base on top of what was playing. Ultimately played out with the output/volume down vertical slider of the outgoing record. Base frequencies turned down with knobs of the outgoing record possibly?

Hello, Buenos Aires. The Latin sun is indeed shining brightly upon us today. At marker 2:15, I am graciously reminded why I began listening to this wonderful genre of music just over seven years ago. When two promiscuous tunes bind to form one, like a covalent bond, a perfect feeling of unity is what arises from this special sort of interaction; such correspondence is mostly inexistent in other genres. This is yet another mix for the books. Thanks, Sol Ortega.

This is a great set. Sounds great. Props to all of us vinyls mixers. I don't know if it's a lost art seeing the vinyl mixing DJs here on KZbin but it is an art never the less. The mp3 mixers aren't as challenging as when you put the needle on the record, find that particular part and and mix it in. The Mp3 mixers even have a scratch and timing device to make it super simple.

there's a lot of hate for digital syncing and some of it is justified but matching tempo without a screen just wastes a lot of time the dj could be focused on other more important things...I mean, these features were introduced for a reason. Maybe someone before you would have said that mixing with cassette tapes is where it's at.
@djfloodmusic4 жыл бұрын
Having DJed with vinyl and controllers I would say that both require the same skillset, in knowing how to beatmatch, controlling volume levels, etc. Each has its limitations and advantages... DJing with vinyl is harder on many levels... the hardest being to find all the music you want to spin on vinyl. You can get tap bpm counters and auxiliary effects, but ultimately you need to know your music inside and out. Waay easier to find music with digital, and to spin music you don't know so well... until your computer crashes.
