Umm, I believe this is a simulation done in X-Plane whatever, whatever. This is not real! Next time you should configure the aircraft for takeoff with the correct flap, slat, and elevator trim set. Catastrophic engine failure with fire requires a timely checklist procedure to be followed and immediate engine management! Running them full thrust until they fail is bad piloting and takes what oomph you could have finessed out of them, gently, to extend your downwind before turning crosswind, and then final, so you can make the runway. Perhaps with enough life in those two turbines to stretch the glide if needed. Sadly, you eviscerated them, so no hail Marys for you! Also crabbing is a effective way to bleed speed and altitude so you don't overshoot the threshold, land long, or just miss the airport entirely! As you did in this SIMULATION! It's always better to wreck near, on, or just past the runway's end! Airport Fire, EMS, is much better equipped to sort out hard landings that bend or break the airplane! Municipal first responders are awesome with structure and property fires, but not at getting the door's open on a jet airliner! Plus they have an large Suds-A-Lot capacity! (Foam.) And no OH! S**T! Did you see THAT! OMG! WTF! Delayed response issues to overcome before getting there minds back on track. The airport crew approach is already past that and ready to hammer down to where you hit the ground! Provided it's on airport property! Now next time you take that Iberia Airlines, tin tube of drama, trauma, and simulated terror up for a zoom-A-bout! Run it up to Fl-350, push the throttles to full thrust, and point the nose of that MD-8* down to earth, run the mach numbers north of VnE and keep her screaming ground bound! And fasten your seatbelt! That flight model is 1 of 2 in X-Plane that will rip apart! It will be before you decend through FL-310 to FL-280! But wow! Talk about dramatic!😮
