DTH recharge is independent of your mobile plans, so will need a separate recharge..

Hasnain, you can but by closing Airtel launcher first. Chromecast has its own app thats found in the system settings. But do not buy this box to use it without a recharge. These are just workarounds that can get you by for a few days and there's no guarantees that what works today might not get patched up by Airtel in a future update.

You may be able to use another launcher. But if the idea is to use this box without live TV channels and having topped up, there’s very little point to it. Consider a Firestick or Mi Box instead. These are just workarounds to experiment and see if it’s even possible to bypass the Airtel restriction. Almost all apps will work once you close Airtel launcher. You can use Wifi of any company, I use Jio.

Harshit, if you’re getting good speed with Airtel, definitely choose that over Jio. Problem with Jio is that while you will get full download speed, there is latency in the connection and the upload speed is only about 10% of upload speeds. My Airtel connection gives me 300mbps up and down and the Jio does 500mbps down but only 45mbps up. Hope this helps.

This is independent of the Airtel broadband. You can get it from the Airtel DTH team. It uses a dish antenna on the roof. Internet is only needed for the VOD apps.

Gurnam, OTT apps like Netflix depend on subscriptions. You may get bundled subscriptions as part of your mobile or broadband connection, but otherwise you will have to pay for this. The recharge amount for the TV channels does not buy you any subscriptions. Hope this helps.

CM Rai, you can't, this is just a workaround for temporary use. You will have to close the Airtel launcher every-time. If you don't want to recharge permanently, its better to get a device like Fire TV stick or Mi Box.
