Actually another thing is try to clean the yellow nib when you take off the tip I tried literally everything but I thought to clean my pencil and it worked ❤

@@gali74 After months and months of trail and error there isn’t a solution. Apple has BROKEN the pencil not on purpose but accidental through its firmware update. Now that the program inside the pencil can no longer properly communicate with the iPad it’s no way to update the device… this is why when you have a new pencil and suddenly it no longer works … Apple is aware but can’t publicly admit fault because the potential money to be made on the newest one will be LOST. APPLE IS AWARE THAT THIS PENCIL CAN CRASH WHEN UPDATING RENDERING IT USELESS which is why they made sure the NEWEST PENCIL HAS A USB-C… So that another device can force start it with an update. How can a device talk to another one with no “mouth”… ie the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen…. They silent pushed the new one without discussing the issue… (but since when has Apple ever admitted they F’d up…. You have to take them to court for that… ie Battery Gate’…) So yeah best I can tell is hope they give you a new one… sell that one… and use the money to purchase the latest device from Apple with the USB-C.

I just figured it out, I think the pen pro should slide through to the "magnetic area" where the pen pro is being put. So when you put the pen pro, don't just put it like droping it to the magnetic area, it should slide through, same process when picking it up, you just need to push the pen pro from the back (like it is sliding or swiping to the magnetic area). I don't know if it will solve this issue but I it worked on me.

My 1st gen Apple Pencil wasn’t working, so I followed theses steps and it didn’t work at first. Pls make sure you are using the usb c that came with your iPad, then plug using the larger usb c to your phone. It worked for me the 2nd time. Thank you

My pencil tip was loose so it didnt work when it was connected. Once i tighten the tip it worked.

my pencil is connected and charging but sometimes after i wake up to check my ipad i find my pencil is at 20% while it's connected to my ipad and it's was charging normally before i sleep! and after i disconnect it and put it back on my ipad it's starts to charge again normally, it's so annoying and i couldn't find a solution for this problem
