20 hours? I would not run mousses if I had to buy 5-6 sets per year! I've got 200 hours on my rear soft Nitro mousse (have installed a wedge) and over 100 hours on my front SRT mousse.

I agree, not sure why he would say that 😮. A large percent of us want flat free longevity and are not looking for short term peak performance. I want 100s of hours

What is a wedge?
@PNWEnduro Жыл бұрын
@@cmtvlogs9118 you can buy a small section of mousse called a wedge. You cut the old mousse and put it in the tire with the wedge so a worn mousse fills up the tire carcass again. Better yet cut a small piece from an old mousse. I just did a video on this a few days ago.

ON the SRT front mousse what psi feeling does it start at? Why choose it over the Michelin?
@PNWEnduro Жыл бұрын
@@Fontainebleauify SRT were 10-12psi feeling. They have not had a front mousse available for 2 years and I think they may be out of business now as their website seems be gone. I have not tired the Michelin because it's so much more expensive than other brands and they only provide sizing for Michelin tires which I do not use.
@gophop2 жыл бұрын
That's pretty hard stuff, IMO. I run tubliss at 5-6psi off-road. And 9psi on-road. If I was ok with the feel of a 15-19psi tire, I would safely run tubes.
@phild98132 жыл бұрын
Yeah the pressure ratings are interesting. I run the soft nitro mousse and I’d say it’s around 5 pounds, if that. Off road only for sure lol
@noControl5562 жыл бұрын
If you aren't worried about flats then tubes are 100% the way to go, if you are worried about flats things get more interesting as you weigh your options

Fo those commenting on hours... Longevity of most thing decrease exponentially with speed. 10% faster is 2x wear. 20% faster is 8x wear. This is by my experience of how fast my fast buddies chew through things.

I ride a yz426 and am having one hell of a time finding street and trail tires for a 19 inch rear rim 110/90/19 I'm chewing through knobbys can i use fronts if they are the same size or would it make more since to convert to a smaller rear rim

I put an 18” off a WR on my 426 with soft bibs and recluse and it made the bike amazing These are great in between bike meaning from the hard hitting 250 smokers to the modern crazy powerful 450’s of today I sold mine and dearly regret it Hang onto that iconic bike bro

Why not on-road? Common for enduro to do highway jumps from trail to trail. Seems a lot less punishing than high speed desert riding.
@evoemperor37762 жыл бұрын
Probably because it's not balanced on road at high speed you will probably feel that.

These mousse last about 1/4 the time of a michelin mousse and at 90% the price its not worth it. At a national c class pace it lasted about 10 hrs vs 40 of a michelin front.

It really depends on your riding style. We have customers that have run the same mousse for 2 seasons.
