We tracked down a procumbens Colorado blue spruce last week, and planted it in the front yard by our weeping Norway spruces! Then total coincidence, next day we biked past one that must've been planted ~5yrs ago, and it was looking great. And yesterday our tree-care came to inject emerald ash borer prevention, and (he could've been trolling) but he was giving two thumbs up on our whole tree garden plantings. Thanks again!

Thank you! I enjoy watching the excellence in your work! Could you please do a video on Blue Spruce Bird's Nest. I have one that is getting too large for its area and I wonder if it's trimmable or movable when it's been in its spot for approximately 5 years. Thank you!!

Beautiful garden! I'm curious if deer are a problem with the techny.

I have a few deer that hang around each winter but I have not had any problems yet, so I don’t think they are a favorite. But I think they will definitely browse on them where populations are high.

Are those two trees in view at 4.13 into the video dead
@gardenhike5 ай бұрын
No, not dead. The upper one at that time stamp is either a Swiss Stone or Mugo pine variety (I’ll have to look closer next time I’m there). It has some scale problems so has had some heavy needle shed. The lower tree is a purple leaf birch, probably Royal Frost, that is doing well.
