@@myoldchannelelelel well the camera is awesome, it's great for gaming, even better battery than OnePlus and it looks amazing in twilight. I've always liked the look of Huawei phones but stuck with OnePlus for the near stock experience but I actually really like the current emui. Go to a store and have a play with them both of you really can't decide.

Both great phones, but in my opinion price has to come into play, the oneplus 6t is £499 in the UK ie the starting price, whilst the mate 20 Pro is £899! So personally I will be going for the oneplus 6t.

Thanks For the Video - being an iPhone user for almost 10 years now its gotten to the point where I cant justify £80+ per month for the phone that I want. Being a complete Android Virgin ive been toggling between S9+, Pixel 3 XL, 1+6T and the Mate 20 Pro and I think ive narrowed it down to 1+6T and Mate 20 Pro and this video has pretty much put me in the Mate 20 Pro corner (preference) I just need to do some more Pixel 3 research before I make the decision on which phone will be in my pocket for the next 24 months... I would reccomend the mate 20 pro over the pixel 3 and one plus 6t. Mostly due to the fact that the mate 20 pro beats one plus in everything except price. And the reason i reccomend it over the pixel 3 is because it has been having ALOT of problems recently due to software problems. But at the end of the day it is up to you. :)

Hi, I see your post and had to comment. I was exactly the same. I had iPhone for the last 8 years, right back from iPhone 4. My last one was iPhone 7, 2 years ago. I was due an upgrade this month but couldn't justify the monthly price of the iPhone X range, even the iPhone Xr was too much. I got the Mate 20 pro on the 26th this month... And wow! Its amazing and decent monthly price, £44pm. But I also had never used android so was very sceptical, but I put swipe gestures on, instead of the 3 buttons at the bottom, and it navigates just like the new iphones. Get the Mate 20 pro, then come back and thank me later 👍

If you never used android phone emui might be tricky and will take some time to get used to.if you enjoy playing around and discovering all options then mate 20 pro no doubt- it's probably best phone of 2018 and basicly 1st phone of 2019.+great camera battery and etc But for " beginners" pix3l is more simplyfied theoretically made for those who want to leave iOS and start android + one of the best cameras...can't say much bout one+6t never used any one+ but might be good option if in case you won't like android experience so cheaper option for try outs.

It comes down to personal preference but I'd rather spend on gaming PC/GTX 1080ti. I don't take selfies/pics(maybe once in a month) I don't watch movies on a pH, no music. I only use my phone to pick up calls. currently using Nexus 5(for the last 5 years).

I'm probably one of the only people here that has owned both these phones for the last 4 months (off combination to buy, I know!) so I hope my feedback is useful I ended up keeping the 6T and selling the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. And my reasoning wasn't actually based on price (I originally planning to keep both, and use one for work) - I just preferred the 6T. I preferred the design (feels better in the hand), the weight (it's lighter), and I think it has a better version of Android (a bit cleverer). And power/speed seemed very similar to the Huawei. So with this one, I think it just comes down to what you prefer in regards to design/looks

I am in this situation right now sporting both and not knowing which really should be my daily ;) As you mentioned OP6T somehow feels slightly better in the hand although it is wider, the buttons are more clicky and the UI feels so light, smooth and fast with the animations being second to none really. Mate20 Pro on the other hand is just more complete with this gorgeous versatile camera (although in good lighting I would say they are neck-to-neck and sometimes OP comes on top as it does not oversharpern the images that much and keeps them real), wireless charging (I got used to this and miss it a bit on the 6T) and the 3D infrared face scaning. If only the OP6T had a good wide angle I wouldn't have questions - as of now, using both interchangeably ;) OP also feels slightly more "cool" - it just oozes that attention-to-detail feeling, the package, the accessories, all this feels like you can really identify with the brand. Huawei is more of a powerhouse that trumps (lol) everything with just more and more innovative features, but it is just not as refined in my mind.

@@mangosamurai I'd been considering buying one of these phones. The Huawei Mate20 pro is a beast, however I don't much care for taking photos with my smart phones these days. Ive seen elsewhere that the Huawei's EMUI is reported to be frequently awkward and annoying, where as oxygen on the OnePlus 6T is reported to be streamlined, hassle free and intuitive. (I think the software operation and day to day feel should have been included in this video) This video's convinced me that the benefits inherent to the top notch Huawei are not sufficient for me to pay twice as much as it costs to buy the excellent t6. Particularly given the drawbacks EMUI and my personal smart phone usage pattern.

Oled flickering much here. OP6t is the pseudo flagship here, mate20 true flagship with useful second camera, useful glass back, bigger battery, faster charging, better night mode. Higher res is less noticeable, IP68 also, K980 also. What OP has going for it, better oxygen OS which feels smoother and faster with faster android updates. Both have iOS like studio lighting and gesture navigations. OP seems to have a nicer gesture here. Funny enough they don’t follow android pie style, instead they do iOS. Surprise surprise Chinese manufacturers do love the iOS stuff.

Side by side the Mate pro murders the OnePlus in terms of screen quality. Elsewhere, there's no comparing the cameras, battery or reliability of hardware. The Mate Pro is a phone for the poweruser or hobbiest photographer, but the OnePlus is for everyone else. I would pick one over the Pixel. When you're doing the camera comparison, please use pro-mode on the Mate 20.

Igor Pajic you are dam right igor but hey frankly speaking each and every extra penny you are paying for mate 20 pro is worth it. You are getting every possible feature a smart phone should have in 2018. Yeah i know one plus is a" flagship killer", it's cheaper but it's far behind in the feature and spec sheet when you compare these two phones side by side. I mean 1000 pound price tag for mate 20 pro justifies itself when you use the phone by your own hands mate. It's a piece of high tech machinery. Carl Price well that depends on personal preference. Nothing wrong with the software though. Software is much more polished and features rich now. Nowadays software looks are not the main selling point of the smartphones. Selling points are features, specs, design and overall performance of the phone in daily activities. I feel like the majority of the comment section thinks that the Mate 20 Pro is around the same price range as the OnePlus 6T. M20P is definitely the best phone not by a huge amount but still the best but you are also paying the price of 2 OP6T. So in terms of price, OP6T kills the M20P But in terms of performance, M20P hands down wins. Basically...the price exponentially increases the more the phone improves per generation. Both are great phones in totally different sections of the market.

I thought the OP 6T would be a surprise regarding the fingerprint unlock speed, especially because many Mate 20 Pro reviews stated that the fingerprint is not as fast. OP 5T had the quickest face unlock speed. But what a surprise, it takes almost twice the time to unlock it, compared to Mate 20 Pro. Waiting for the camera comparison. I know Mate 20 is better, but how much?

This is the first video i have seen of a reviewer struggling with scanner on 6T. Others have reported it as the fastest one. Probably his left hand finger has faded fingerprints

Coming from the excellent OnePlus 5T I was torn between these two phones but Mate 20 Pro lured me, as on O2 it costs only £235 (£770 vs £535) more than the 6T and comes with a free Huawei G2 watch and fast charging pad. With these freebies and the extra capability I think the price difference is more than justified.

I've been using the mate 20 pro and have had to charge it every day. Today it's 10pm and I've used 150% not even had that much chance to play. Also a bit glitchy on pokemon go and some other apps. Also back swipe can fail on some apps. No performance mode bugs me and I can't find the settings for black n white photo with colour person. Speakers are louder than expected but the back vibrates a lot reducing its premium feel somewhat. Need to find a decent screen protector too as the one I got with my case won't curve.

I love oneplus, I have both a oneplus and huawei as my dailys, I don't take many pics so really for me it comes down to the heavy usage abilities, gpu turbo is OK not great but OK, obviously oneplus is alot cheaper, dash vs wireless, Ill have to go with the huawei this 1 time only because battery and official iP rating, oneplus 7 tho that could be a truly indefeatble device

Mate 20 pro still best of 2018. However the Op6t is nearly half the price and still offers a high quality device. 256GB storage 8GB RAM. It would be insane to pick the mate 20 pro over the 6t to be honest. The mate 20 pro doesnt destroy the 6t in speed. Overall the mate 20 pro is only slightly better but for double the price near enough. For me i chose the 6t over the mate 20 pro

I've always felt that the T variants should be more premium with the specs, stereo speakers, wireless charging, quad hd display, etc not much better than a OnePlus 6, to be honest not much of an upgrade over the 5t I'm thinking of getting a mate 20 pro or Xperia xz3, or do u think xz3 premium will be out soon. on a side note one plus did an excellent job on their gesture control

I was at a phone store the other day. The haptic feedback motor is so insanely much better on Mate 20 Pro. I've heard reviewers saying the 6T has the same haptic feedback motor as 5T, which is sad, because it feels clumsy and somewhat cheap. Not the biggest problem in the world but I like all small details to be in place :)

Thanks for doing this video and the other ones you've produced. The OnePlus 6T looks like awesome value for money. The Huawei is certainly more expensive but if I didn't want the Ultra-wide lens and some of the other bells and whistles I'd be looking at the OnPlus 6T as another top choice instead. Hopefully this might be some constructive feedback for you, in that the music you chose for this one is somewhat repetitive and as a result really irritating. After 4 minutes I had to turn down the volume to try and block it out so I could listen to your voice and the information. (Others probably don't even notice it). I'm sure it's hard to find copyright and royalty free Music, but maybe just change the song playing and not have the same one or style for the whole video ?
