Was I absent for some "back to mono" movement? Last I checked 99.9 % of music is recorded in two channel stereo which requires at least two speakers for playback. What is this sudden disinterest in stereo sound that people just don't give a shit if they listen to mono or stereo? And you review the "best smart speaker" (singular) for MUSIC without even mentioning that two speakers reproducing stereo will sound better than one speaker. Maybe I'm just an old fart but damn this is an important issue if quality of sound is your goal. Personally I find it perplexing.

My dad, in the 60's and 70's had the typical large wooden framed speakers. He thought they played fantastic music sound. I guess in those days they did. These little google guys play way superior sound. If he were alive, he'd be amazed.

Cheers, man. So... nothing revolutionary to sacrifice £90 right now. For me, the fair price for this is £39 - £45 and that's exactly the price I paid for both my older Google Home devices! I am happy as Larry playing some music while cooking and during my workouts, the audio quality from such things is just enough for everyday listening. Both Google and Amazon released their speakers now but there is nothing really new. It's just leftovers pizza advertised as four course dinner imho.

one thing google hasn't said is that there are latency issues when pairing the audio nest to a tv via bluetooth (even as all the promotional material mentions bluetooth connectivity with TV as a feature). I've tried with mine and the lag of more than 1s makes it not viable at all. The tech support admits that these latency issues are NORMAL. Reviews might want to update their articles that suggest using nest audio speakers with the TV Bluetooth function. if you are looking to use them as tv speakers, DONT DO IT

Bought 1 year ago but Since several months i cannot play audio anymore , any kind of audio source. Already restarted once but nothig. I open the Home app, select the device and than "reproduce audio", i hear the activation sound from the speaker but than no audio is reproduced and after a few second i hear the disconnection sound. I have no idea of what to do :(

You have to sign into your account on your nest hub. But what if everyone in the house want to use and control lights , thermostat and view door bell camera alerts? How do you manage the sign ID if you are sharing the nest hub?

Mr Tech Spurt, although you were able to use Google Home to make and receive phone calls, the microphone quality for the person listening at the other end was totally pants and completely unusable. Have you tested this feature on the Nest Audio (if it has it)? And if so, was it any good?

Just got a Nest Audio and something weird is happening. I’ll play music and then say “hey google stop the music” and it does. But then anywhere from 10-30 minutes later it starts back playing on its own. I can’t seem to fix this. Has anyone experienced this?
