Unboxing the Huawei Mate X3 foldable phone with a full tour of the camera tech, gaming abilities, split-screen features and beyond. As far as hardware goes, the Huawei Mate X3 certainly looks like a solid Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 rival. Of course, with EMUI on board rather than Android, there's the usual software caveats.
I'm absolutely in love with the design here, which is skinny and light compared with many foldables. The Huawei Mate X3 weighs less than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, with a 6.4-inch outer screen and near 8-inch internal display. Both panels are OLED, with LTPO tech for the external screen. You've also got a stereo speaker setup.
Huawei has shoved several cameras on the Mate X3, with a 50MP Ultravision shooter headlining the back lot. This can't match the P60 Pro for evening shots or zoom snaps, but the Huawei Mate X3 is still very capable in better lighting.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 powers the Huawei Mate X3, so you can run apps side-by-side with a smooth experience or get gaming. If you can find some games that you actually enjoy. Battery life also gets a thumbs up, with enough grunt to last you all day, even with lots of screen on time.

People probably don't realize that Huawei is one of the most important tech companies in the world. Every time they launch a flagship product they usually hit top of the rankings in every category (cameras, quality, innovation, etc.). I'm an absolute fan of the brand and its products. Even with the Google ban they continue to stun everyone with their products. An amazing company.

the problem is people in china can access the latest tech from huawei but not for non chinese, in fact there are a lot of cool tech gadgets with high specs are only available in china, even american company like tesla and apple made some special features that only for chinese market

I've had both phones and the Fold 4 was much better for everyday use. In saying that I know have the fold 5 and nothing beats it for foldables

I've got the Mate XS when it first come out and absolutely love it! After the years it's still running flawlessly. I'm just waiting for either Photon or Graphene chips to become available in Mobiles. That's when you'll see a quantum leap in performance and a mobile being worthy of an upgrade

No 5G, last years Snapdragon chipset. No Play Store. No Leica lenses either. No mention of GBox where you can run the majority of Google PlayStore apps? How good are those cameras? Great review on on a 'niche' device due to lack of Google services and play store out of the box. It's amazing you state this more than once, and I see a comment asking if there is 'play'! That person either didn't watch your video properly or has a short attention span. I personally would not buy this or any other foldable phone. I just got my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra for close to half the Huawei £2000 price.

A long time ago, phones were just phones, costing less than 100 bucks... Now here we are, with this pocket-size computer (costing as much as a desktop PC). It looks like the call/texting features have turned into gadgets, while the main features are now gaming, movies and apps. Im glad you pointed it out...Since everyone has given the pixel fold heck for its price, this phone has no 5g service from what i have looked up, no stylus support, and not dustproof certified, and snapdragon 8 gen 1+, not the latest and greatest, and well over $2k...lets see what the reviewers say about this one, but it is a beautiful phone, i wish it wasn't banned from 5g support amongst other things.

This device is far ahead of the pixel hardware wise, there is no comparison. 5g is irrelevant and no foldable is dust resistant. It would be nice to meet stylus support no doub, although it would require a special case which would make it too chunky. Btw , I'm typing this on a mate x3

I'm typing this on an identical mate x3 and wow, it's an amazing phone. Having built in Google apps would be nice but with gbox you can get KZbin and all other Google apps that I have tried. The main downside is that you can't spit these apps in halfmbit you can run it in a desirable box. Overall awesome device.
