1) You can't process. If you to split files into smaller file. 2) You can use append file option while writing the file on FTP location.

Is there no way to process files more than 1 GB? We have a requirement to process files that could be around 5-6 GB and the source system cannot split them into smaller files (

How are you getting those 1k invoice and how will you fetch PDF against those invoices ?

What happens if mapping fails in one of the chunk?

It's upto you how you want to handle this. You can put scope inside the chunk block and handle in case one chunk failed.
