What is MCC Panel? |Motor Control Center(MCC) | Building Management System | BMS Training 2021

. MCC stands for Motor Control Center. MCC panel contains circuit to provide power to the motors, these motors can be Air handling unit(AHU) fan motors, exhaust fan motors, and pumps motors.
In Building Management System(BMS) MCC panels are connected with the DDC panels for control and monitoring of these electric motors.
There are different motor starting methods including Direct Online (DOL) starter, Start-Delta Starter and Soft Starter. We discussed all three method in this video.
We also showed a practical video of an MCC panel control Air handling units and Exhaust Fans.

These are the most common used components for Direct Online and Star Delta Starter MCC panel. If motor speed control is required then you would have VFD(Variable Frequency Drive) used in the MCC.
