As a long time Samsung fan, I hope their sales take a massive dip, maybe that will force them to improve their hardware. Having the same camera sensors and battery capacity for 3 consecutive generations is beyond greedy. This is the same company that used to poke fun at Apple(and rightfully so) for barely improving their devices from year to year, but even then, at least Apple was giving their costumers new camera sensors and bump up in the most important aspects, hardware wise.

@@nufsioohay Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo and Vivo are doing very well in Europe. Huawei will slowly start to regain its original strength after the carnage the US did to them. I think they've already got it figured out, but Samsung keeps being the best in terms of software and user appreciation in the highest tier of phones. As for mid and low end devices, I think Chinese phones dominate. (Personal feel about the current market. Not based on any stats)

The thing that I've notice about samsung is the longevity of their phones. May not be the best in terms of spec, but in terms of quality and features, they dont fall short.

Yep, after seeing the price and the battery, I ended up just going with the S24 ultra because it has 5000mah while its on sale on amazon for only $900 (I say only but still pretty expensive) while the features are probably about slightly the same while performance would probably be better. For a big screen you'd expect samsung to increase it to at least 5000 or even double that when you have that big of a screen. But oh well, I needed an upgrade anyway from my Note 10 plus.

Every Chinese company, by Chinese law, MUST submit information to the government if their government requests it. China has consistently shown their ambitions towards world dominance by any means, particularly by gathering information. And Vivo looks exactly like a sketchy Chinese company created JUST to gather global data by manufacturing devices. I couldn't care less about being called a "fanboy." I'd use a phone made in a handyman's basement before one made in China. Love yours, leave me and my choices be.

I considered the One Plus Open at one point, but their software looks like complete shit. If a fold had Samsung’s software mixed with the size and camera of the OnePlus, that’d be the best Fold possible. I just can’t get onboard with other Folding phones shit software.

I have been using the Galaxy Fold since the Fold 2, and I have to say, Samsung has improved the design with each generation. The Galaxy Fold 6 is the best in my opinion. However, I still want to see a bigger battery capacity.

I definitely agree. I’ve only had the 5 and now the 6, but Samsung definitely needs to make the battery better. Wish they would use the battery they put in the S24 Ultra. That thing easily lasts me all day even with my Watch 6 Classic pulling on the battery via Bluetooth all day. They don’t even need to upgrade the camera much considering I have my S24 Ultra for my pictures and camera and think the Fold 6 camera is decent enough considering I don’t even take that many pictures. They just need to make the battery able to last me an entire day without having to charge throughout the day. It’s 2024 and no phone out on the market today should have a battery that can’t even last them an entire day.

It's quite conservative for Samsung in terms of battery performance and lifespan. The reason is safety. There's a good reason why what Samsung does and what Samsung doesn't do. Battery performance and size are related to the risk of explosion. We need to know why there are so many electric vehicle fire accidents.

Well, the design is actually something that has changed. I don't mind them not improving things like the cameras or fast charging, but it would be very nice to see a price reduction in exchange, to be honest. If you have a worse battery life and camera than an s24 Ultra, but considering the hinge added costs, I'd assume it would cost at most around 100€ more, and it'd be a nice balance. But definetely not 700 more, now that foldables are much more common and there's good competition in the market

I've been a OnePlus owner for a while... My OnePlus 11 wouldn't even need a large battery, since it charges from 30% - 100% in like 15 minutes.

I've upgraded from Fold 4 to 5. But honestly am so dissapointed with the Fold 6 tiny upgrades. And the proce also take a hike...Hopefully they will make major changes with Fold 7. Otherwise guess I'll jump ship to other foldables

People talking about the cameras but this phone is geared toward business professionals and people who do alot of productivity work amd consume a ton of media on the go. The reason they havent upgraded the cameras is because they know the vast majority of fold users arent the type to take a ton of photos or videos compared to say s24 users or flip users (thats also why flip users got better cameras this year) most fold users are men who dont take a ton of photos compared to other phones in their lineup. And yes they can add a camera bump and get better cameras but whats the point of a thinner phone with a huge camera bump and no s pen support? Theyd need to remove that support to make it as thin or the s pen would only have very basic features. Is it really thin if half the back pannel is comprised of a massive camera hump? Also most of the chinese brands might have nice hardware but hardware is meaningless without great software its why samsung can use 3 generation old hardware and still compete with the latest flagships from other brands. Hardware is not everything. Without good ui all you have is an expensive phone that doesnt really push the hardware to the max anyway.

@twothumbs8925 I'm not sure how much clearer you need it to be : tldr: Samsung phones don't offer the latest camera tech because there isn't enough room in the phone due to S pen support and making the phone thinner. Yes, it's not as thin as the competition, but the majority of them have massive camera bumps and no s pen as advanced as samsung, which defeats the purpose of a thinner phone. Samsung camera software still keeps them neck and neck with those brands. Hardware isn't everything if you dont have the software to push it to the max. Most fold users don't take that many photos anyway. That's not what this phone is for. If cameras are your priority, get an s24 or flip

I do prefer faster charging and model of the oneplus open but this is still an upgrade. Lighter, thinner, better hinge since fold 4, AI software technology, 7 yrs of upgrades promised this time, moved up to ip48 water and dust protection this time. I dont complain about the cameras cuz the cheapest of modern phones have better cameras than real nikon cameras of back in the day. Dont know why people complain about the cameras and the design. They are not gonna come up with a completely different design atleast not yet. Its like people expect this to turn into a flying bat or something? Lol. Its a foldable phone.

No but it's because look at the competition they are a bit behind in the hardware, small battery, 25W charging only, old dated camera sensors. But yes IP48, better hinge, wider screens, slimmer and lighter there are plenty of upgrades. My only true disappointment is they didn't move to 45W charging support and a larger battery. 4400mAh isn't really enough if you use that inner screen as much as I do.

I frankly don't need a foldable phone. If anything it is way to bulky and not really practical. If i want to watch movies I just use my tablet. It has 12 hours battery life and cost 6 times less. Completely overpriced junk. If people refuse to buy this stuff for those prices. Smart phones would cost around 500. We are being brainwashed by advertising. The excuse phones cost so much because of the bew features is bs. Smart Phones only got invented and innovated for the military complex. It then later was adopted by the public.
