Obviously, I would have loved to have compared the S20 Plus or S20 Ultra. But sadly I don't one. I have to use what few phones I own. However, I bought the S20 Ultra to compare to the Mi 10 Pro when I get it. But judging by this I don't think even the Pro model will have much of a chance against the S20 series!

I really liked the color tone on S10+. Images on S10+ look very crisp and sharp while Mi10 has a slight dull look to it. Especially the photo which got tied. Sky on S10+ looks very vibrant while Mi10 looks washed out a bit.

the mi 10's red at 4:08 is more like pink but i think you can mess with the camera settings to make it look red i love the fact it can record 4k60 and 8k30 and it has 108mp and it has the strongest cpu for a phone [sd865] but i miss the headphone jack but whatever it is still what i will buy for my birthday because for that much money [~660euro] it is the best phone

Xiaomi has the "problem" of early software release but with some time and new updates it'll get way better than the Samsung as far as I know both makers. In addition to this, you can get really good custom ROMs for the Mi10 which better the camera performance. Time will tell but I'd go for the XIAOMI.

I have Xiaomi mi8 and the camera app official is no good and photos quality at night is horrible, but with Gcam the quality of the photos get much more better. So Mi10 with Gcam will be better than S10 with official camera app, but with official app, no way.

I don't know why people are so fixated over gimbal-like stabilization. EIS always looks extremely unnatural to me, like playing an FPS game, not to mention it can only stabilize on the X and Y axis. And all the issues it introduces are terrible, from crops to stuttering to terrible ghosting and flickering in lower light. First thing I do is disable EIS on any phone if possible. OIS is superior in every respect, and especially invaluable for low-light slow shutter shots to prevent blur from typical handshake. Samsung and Apple typically excel at pure hardware stabilization, with all the electronic smoke and mirrors turned off. I'm skeptical whether the Xiaomi Mi 10 even has optical image stabilization with how terribly shaky the 8k footage is, which is when the EIS would have been disabled for obvious reasons.

I think that Mi 10 or Xiaomi in general have a pretty bad camera software. Their stock camera app tends to soften images and washes out some of the colors and details. Try comparing Mi 10 stock camera vs Mi 10 google camera.
