Using it for 2 weeks, but I still come to watch your review! Good job! I do agree with you that 120 hz really kill the battery. I changed it to 60 hz and turn off the super wallpaper, it helps a lot 😂 The camera is super nice and the maximum zoom I used is around 60x, for me to read something from a distance (menu etc.) and I think this is the only function of this zoom. Btw, in the display setting, the advance setting offers a lot options to cater our need. MIUI 12 is still not stable yet and it has quite a number of bugs, hope they can solve it soon. In short, I'm 100% happy and no regret to get this phone so early! Strongly recommend everyone to get it as well!

May I ask you about battery life at 60hz? In the video 120hz was at 8-9 hours almost. Also when you charge it , does it get so hot? In normal usage , or like playing games, is the heat level fine ? I worry this phone is just too hot ;

@@2PMisTimeless The heat level is fine in my view, I do play some games and to me the temperature is acceptable. 60 hz can last for 1 whole day for normal use and some gaming. I'm not sure if it's very hot when I charge it. Because I usually plug in the cable and go for a bath/cook, and it's fully charged when I come back...Yes, extremely fast, you don;t even need to charge and play at the same time...

You said it all. The speakers in my opinion are weak, in a bit noisy environment, I can t hear anything, even during calls it s a problem without earphone. A good point is its abilities for low light shots with the main sensor, not only shots are bright but there are low noise...with the great stab, I can keep at home my go pro hero 6 and A7S...I finally found the photophone that suits me. For the battery, I came from the pathetic galaxy note 8, so it seems amazing and the important point is that it last more than a day with pretty intensive use, games, 30shots+, music with Bluetooth headset on the way to work, etc etc... The transparent version is a real deception, as you said it s just some drawing, and not the components...well whatever, we all use a case and even with transparent case not much can be seen. Many shops sell the transparent version higher, so just buy the black or silver.

I've imported to the UK.. (ee) I get 4g/4g+ , excellent phone..but Took me ages to figure out the notifications settings ! All working now, and definitely agree with 120hz.. Kills the battery.. Nice to have the super charger to fill you back up within minutes.. 👌👌 Great review on a great device 💪

@@kingjaffri87 as above.. You need to set permissions for the apps you want to receive notifications from. . And make sure they are able to 'auto start'.. You'll find the options in the settings.... It annoyed me big time when I thought I couldn't get them..... Works fine now 👍👍

Another great review Chris, still watch MKBHD/MrWhosetheboss etc etc but when I want serious in depth no nonsense stuff i know you'll always deliver. Great phone and was initially quite disappointed about the lack of Band 20 as importing seemed like could be a great option for me here in the UK....however. On contemplation i'm starting to see this having very few real tangible advantages over the Oneplus 8 pro. Yes you get 5X optical zoom and faster charging. But the advantages kind of stop there. Oneplus 8 pro still very fast at charging and still has 3X optical zoom and there's really not much between the cameras. Plus IP68, and price wise they are very close, OP8 pro even dropped a bit on price.

Any feedback on the 4G / 5G performance in Europe, considering this doesn't have the antennas for Bands 20 and 28? I'm thinking of buying the Mi 10 Ultra but ran into problems with Mi 9 Transparent when travelling to regions that uses Band 20 / 28for 4G connectivity, and don't want to be caught in a similar jam when travelling (again when we get back to some form of normalcy)!

I find a little annoying the lack of the 90 Hz option. Why only Asus did include it in ROG Phone? It demonstrates that is technically possible. DC dimming only available on 60 Hz option? Excellent, only TechTablets gives such a piece of information. Good work.

Looks like a really good phone I have the Mi note 10 pro it takes really good photos and video I installed MI UI 12 so far so good it's a global version sometimes it loses service doll I'm guessing that's to do with the different LTE bands in Canada and North America I also have a Huawei P40 Pro I have to say I'm really liking both of these Chinese phones half the cost of what Samsung or Apple make thanks for the video very informative and very enjoyable to watch

Definitely flash the MIUI EU rom to this phone! It removes all of the chinese text and bloat. I was concerned flashing the new rom might interfere with my banking app and google pay but it all works perfectly fine.
