People keep saying for Roku to press the * but that doesn't bring up the subtitle language options. I can only get English subtitles when I want English audio with French subtitles.

I’m on our TV. That feature is not available. Is it only available through a laptop? I just tried this through my App on my iPhone and found it. But on my TV, no bueno. Sucks.

If you're having trouble with the captions on Xbox One, Like and comment to boost this comment: Settings > Ease of Access > Closed Captioning > Select "On using default style" > Go back to Disney+ > Select your show/movie and go to subtitles. It should work, from there.

If you own the TCL roku TV, pause as mentioned in the video, press on your Roku Remote the "*." Then on the left hand side, the options screen should pop up, go to Close Captioning and click, "on replay," and switch to, "on always." After that head back to the show/movie and press play. It worked for me on my TCL Roku TV. Hope this helps.

My language is English. I turn on the subtitles because some of the characters in the program I am watching are not speaking English... the subtitles option is not helpful because all it comes up with it [speaking Chinese] and doesn't translate what is being said. Any help would be great thanks

Subs don't work. I usually put them in case some neighbours are loud for a while. So I at least know what's going on. But it never works on Disney+. Well, it does in other languages. Never in English, for some reason
