why not just install gpu and riser into the vertical bracket then insert pci riser and bracket into case then screw them down to the slots = installed vertical gpu

You get special screws with the case that support the vertical GPU mount. They are hexagonal and very thin, usually about 20mm long. They go from bottom (the baseplate) upwards into the two holes in the GPU mount and look a bit like a couple of props on either end of the GPU mount card. The two holes in the GPU mount card will show you where they are seated.

As to the vertical mount. I have the same one. You need to mount the GPU into the bracket first, then mount the bracket into the case. Works perfect!

I use the same Phanteks bracket in the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh and I ran into the same issues as you. However, I was able to still install it by installing the GPU onto the vertical bracket first, then installing the bracket+GPU combo into the case as a single unit. Then I got a tiny bit of dense adhesive-backed foam and set it on the fan frame under the bracket as a sort of spacer, so that the weight of the bracket rests on the fan frame and doesn't risk coming into contact with the fan blades.

Just discovered your channel, great stuff. Quick question, when replacing a PSU, how do you not make a giant mess with all the cables? Is it ok to do the opposite, meaning plug everything in first, meaning video card, and motherboard, and then pull all those cables around to the power supply?

Since you have longer nails just use a magnetic screw driver and you'll have a lots easier time with them tiny screws. BTW the magnetic tips are not strong enough to damage anything during a build.

ditch the bottom fan its probably not adding any benefit to cooling, then mount the GPU to the vertical GPU mount bracket and then install into case.

Both the M.2s are PCI 3 - All slots support pcie 4, although only the top slot is directly on the processor bus 👍

First time viewer and I love the build! Some ideas of how to get the GPU mounted vertically using that bracket, try mounted the GPU on the bracket first and then putting it in the PC. Also, try and use the GPU support arm to hold it up if it is going to be too heavy. Would also love to see you switch out the front fans with the matching Antec fans you used on the rest of the build as well.
