I just got a secondhand with 240GB SSD for about 260$. Still working flawlessly. 6 hours of battery for working and about 2-2.5 hours when gaming. Added a cooling pad and the laptop's not even warm when i play a game while plugged in.

Thank you for the video. I'm scouting around for a laptop and came upon the Lenovo ThinkPad 450s and that took me to watching some reviews on KZbin. I currently have a Dell Latitude E6420 (old, I know) and have been suffering with the battery. I have changed the battery three times and currently have to supposedly new batteries but which combined don't give me up to 4 hours of work time. I recently got a new power adapter to use with my moderate solar power unit and when plugged in, the Touchpad doesn't work, so I have to use a USB mouse. So, battery function is vital for me when getting a laptop replacement as well as the power rating of the power adapter and how long it will take to charge the battery fully. These considerations matter to me because of my location - I rely on the 120W solar power unit as my main supply, which I can use to charge my phone and my laptop. So, I am interested in a laptop with power adapters rated between 45W and 65W or so; I was happy to learn that there are such systems out there.

I would recommend a T440P which allows you to upgrade the CPU to a four-core as the fella above mentioned however you can add I think 16 gigs at least of memory. If you get an Intel MQ 4 the T440P it will run with a fan far more often I don't know what exactly you are doing in premiere but on an X1 carbon 3rd dual core i5 and 4 gigs memory I could edit video decently the rendering turn things up so I won't use it for big projects unless I had more power

16Gb max, PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3L. The T450S model you can have 20 gigabytes max because it has 4 gigabytes soldered on as well.

I'm not using t 450 anymore. You could try to find out it has a eDP 30 pin standard cable. If it does I'm sure there will be one. I recently bought LCD IPS non glare for T540 (1080). What I found out was, that tho there was no official panel from lenovo, one form Huawei Matebook was a perfect fit, even screw holes were perfectly aligned.

You can only replace or make use of the mSATA port with a mSATA SSD chip and use that as a boot drive and keep the regular 2.5" HDD for storage, You also do not get PCIe speeds from that slot.

For sure this is not normal. If the laptop is covered by warranty, try to get this fixed, if not, you could try to take the bottom cover off, and try to find the source of problem.

there are 3 different battery for T450, the slim one 3 cell 23WH, the bold one 48WH and also the other bold one 72WH. you can also put internal battery 3 cell 23WH if you want to.

OK, for some people. The T440p, and W540 with Quad Core processor, is far more powerful. "U" designated processors are weak, and underpowered, unless you get an i7 8thGen (T480). I have 6thGen, and a 7thGen "U" processor, and they way under perform against the Quad Core, 4thGen Haswell processors! For average, general computer users, doing basic computing, the T450 may be fine, but for much of anything otherwise, look elsewhere. My "DD" is a W540/32gb RAM/ 1tb x2 Samsung EVO 860 SSD's, and a 480gb M.2 NGFF drive/nVidia Quadro K2100m graphics/i7-4900mq processor, and a 3k screen... All for just a little more than the same cost as a T450, and around the same cost, as a T460.

Yes, the t440/s/p are also fantastic and run under $200 on eBay. If you get one of these you usually always want to upgrade the screen to something not as small resolution though

I use t540p that has the same problem, I plan to upgrade is, if the laptop has eDP30 pin connector chance is you will find aftermarket ips panel. Question is will it fit in lids frame...
