My mom recently got the A15. I'm actually very impressed and surprised by this phone and it even has One UI 6.1 now. I remember how terrible Samsung mid rangers used to be back in the days. They have come a long way.

A15 is a low end, not mid range. Though it uses an ex-mid range chipset and ex-mid range cameras, just no stabilization. The OneUI here is also not the core ones anymore even though every Samsung with An14 says that but you could tell the real difference by looking at the app opening animations. A15 gets smooth animations, while phones like A05s get choppy animations.

@@GoldWristX I mean, if you intentionally get a low end phone and try to use it beyond its capabilities, you can expect nothing more than disappointment. Even as a low end device, this phone does great. I don't think people try to think "Oh yeah, it's $150, can't expect everything" before complaining about its imperfection. The phone has been rock solid for media consumption and everyday tasks. Does not lag either, except for a few seconds after a restart.
