I've had my S10 plus for almost 3 years. Battery still lasts all day, cameras are fantastic especially since Android 12 update, screen is still gorgeous and for me, its as good as anything out there right now. I believe the S10 series was a Samsung benchmark that brought us a phone way ahead of its time. Sadly the support is now finished.

The phone's pretty good, my Exynos S10 5G still can take really good photos and the screen is good for videos without the high refresh rate display, but damn is the battery life so poor compared to when I got this on launch. No amount of battery replacement and factory reset seems to have fixed my issue

I think that there isn't enough of a difference in this comparaison to deem one as a winner, and they are both very good phones. If you're using an S10+ right now there is no need to upgrade as it can still do everything fast enough. I'd say either are good phones and choosing one over the other is a tough choice. Whichever you can get cheaper I'd say wins.

En actualizaciones el s10 plus también tendrá 3 años o 4 de actualizaciones, en este momento ya va por android 12. Yo me quedaría con el S10+ por la calidad como tal de la pantalla, pese a no tener los 120hz la calidad de su pantalla es superior al a52 pero sobre todo tiene unos altavoces que se escuchan delicioso... Un sonido muy fuerte con presencia de graves, dolby atmos y ecualizador, los altavoces del 52s son buenos pero no se comparan con el s10+.

And I'm still using the S10+ lol. It's just so darn good. 8GB RAM, 8 core CPU, 128GB Internal storage that's UFS 2.1 and can read at 700MB/s. I "want" to upgrade" but have zero "need" to upgrade. This phone keeps DoorDash, Google Maps, Amazon Music open while texting/answering calls/calling customers on the job and playing Clash Royale when I pull over for a break. Everything just works... no lagging or hitching. It's the way Android phones SHOULD have been all along lol. They just never put enough RAM in them. eMMC storage was slow and phones came with 4GB max, typically 2GB-3GB, and you'd always use all that up and it'd become slow as molasses. Now We've got UFS 2.x, 3.x and 4.x storage which can read and write and blazing fast speeds, so even if you have 4GB RAM and run out, the phone is still fast. And when you have 6GB+ RAM, you really don't run out. That's why I opted for the 8GB RAM S10+, I did not want to run out of RAM.

I will say I'm THINKING of "upgrading" to the S21 5G SM-G991U1 so that it's unlocked and can run on ANY carrier. I'd buy it Open Box on eBay. The 128GB model is like $225 and the 256GB model is almost $300. I guess this is the version that doesn't have a slow for an aux cord or a slot for an SD Card, right? So, that's kinda making me want to skip that model. I lost my S10+ for a few days and bought the A14 5G at WalMart thru StraightTalk temporarily. When I was in Johnson City, I was running Speedtest at 400Mbps or 50.8 MB/s. That's crazy. But 5G isn't fast where I'm at, so it doesn't matter. I get around 8MB/s with 4G LTE on my S10+ through AT&T and it's TRULY unlimited. I use 1TB a month all the time tethered to my PC watching KZbin, downloading games, playing games, etc.

I got a brand new s10 plus a month ago, still beats a new a anything any day since new battery. The a is on the first firmware too, so put the s on pie and watch it fly. It is not slow now at all, but then it killed them all. I prefer an older flagship to a newer midrange for performance and feel. If software support ends before I replace it, I just custom rom.

The old a series was also better than the new ones, my 2016 A5 happily runs android 11, looks and feels awesome and it isn't made to die after a year and a half or 2 like the 2019 and up ones.

@@Kayshots a52s's display appears better to me in practice. I am not sure if its because S10+'s display is old or what, but A52's display is lot brighter and sharper. I can't see s10+ display below 50%, I can see A52s display even at 30% infact it rarely needs to go above 50%. Plus its 90hz and with smaller pinhole camera which is actually miles better than S10+ useless selfie pill. Yes A52s is plastic and made to look cheap, but its more usable. No fear of broken screen with single drop. Protectors are easy to apply. You also get area to keep you fingers around screen so no accidental touches from sides. Cameras are mixed bag, but they generally snap better photos most of the time. Video is where you start to feel a little midrange esp. with no 60fps but S10+'s 60fps is trash any way. There is stabilisation at one lens. Battery life of s10 series (exynos) is hell. I just charged my phone 3 times a day and its barely 1.8 years old.

My S10e (the smaller model that lacks a 2x telephoto camera) has a very bright AMOLED screen that I usually set at 10-15% indoor and it automatically bumps to max brightness outside under the Sun and is perfectly readable in all conditions. Also, after almost 3 years of usage its battery holds up pretty well and could last me for about 5-6 hours screen-on time on mixed usage (Internet browsing, KZbin, taking photos and videos, Messenger etc). In most days I usually use it for about 3 hours per day and it leaves about 30-40% battery charge at the end of the day, but keep in mind that I rarely charge the battery above 80-85% and plug it into the charger once the battery drops to 15-20%. I try to not charge the battery to 100%, because that degrades is faster. The A52s' battery is about 20-30% better in real-world usage, but it's a comparison between a new phone and one owned almost 3 years, so I'm eager to see how the battery of A52s will perform in 2025. :) The 4K/60 videos are almost flawless and only have some minor hitches at quick rotation of myself to shoot something in a totally different direction as I walk, like a 90-degree turn or so. Only then it takes a fraction of a second to do a quick re-focusing and brightness adjustment on the scene and is smooth again. The sound quality of the stereo speakers on my S10e is noticeably better than the one of A52s (I also own this one since few days). I prefer the punch hole on S10e as it's located on the upper right corner and that makes it far less distracting than the central top punch hole of A52s.

A52s Screen is dream samsung quality with 120hz. I use mine 6 hours a day screentime i get in battery life and i'm happy with that. Got it new for 350$ If you use the phone for more than 3 hours screentime it's not good anyways.

A52s 5g has a 120hz refresh rate compared to the s10+ 60hz and the a52 5g has a 4500 mAh whilst the s10+ only has a 4100mAh. The a52s 5g has better specs on its camera compared to the s10+.

De la serie "A" irónicamente del 2021 el mejor fue un A52s, que cuenta con todo para ser mejor que un A72, y miren solo contra quien se está enfrentando, contra un dispositivo de hace 3 años. El S10+ sigue teniendo mejor cámara que un A72, A52s, A52, sigue teniendo IP68 y no IP67, una pantalla muchísimo mejor, un brillo mucho mejor, 4k a 60 FPS, gorilla Glass 6, estéticamente 10 veces más premium que cualquier Serie "A" y si bien, ya el S10+ no supera en Benchmarks a el A52s, es un dispositivo increíblemente hermoso, en mi opinión, no han bastado 3 años, para samsung poder superar su propio gama alta de hace 3 años.

Abrir jogos e apps mais rápido nesse caso tem mais a ver com memória de armazenamento do que com processador ou memória RAM... provavelmente o armazenamento do a52s por ser um modelo mais recente deva ser levemente superior... porém em processamento... nunca vai ser melhor que um flagship como s10, em jogos o s10 vai ter qualidade superior.

En Gpu los dos Exynos 9820/25 y sd855 estan bastante por encima del 778g. Casi 40.000 puntos de Gpu en antutu. Y la CPu esran muy cerca. Es mehor un movi con el 855 de calle que un 778g. Exynos es mas discutible por la Cpu. Pero la Gpu del Exynos 9820/25 en Vulkan es una bestia.mejor que el 855 casi tan buena como un 865 en Vulkan solo ojo.

La CPU es mejor la del 778G pero no por mucho. En cambio la GPU es mucho mejor la del 855. Asique para un uso diario un poco mejor el 778G pero para uso gaming o emuladores 855 rinde mucho mas. En general yo escogeria el 855 de calle o incluso un 845 que rinda bien (Galaxy note 9, oneplus 6t) antes que el 778g por el tema de la GPU y que la optimizacion para chips flagships es mejor y mas comun.

I ordered a renewed s10+ yesterday it’ll be here today. Can’t wait. I’m switching from the iPhone XR. Since this last iOS update this XR has been glitchy, running hot, and just acting really weird. I ran a diagnostics test on it using my computer and everything seems to be just fine. Which would mean it’s the update making the XR act weird. But the s10+ is a really good phone still. I use to have the regular s10 and it was amazing. But personally I don’t see the need to pay $1400-1600 or better for the lasted phones. I’m a patient person I can wait a year or two for those new phones to age and get at a good price. And honestly I loved iPhones but they’re changing way too much stuff with them. And the software is getting buggy as hell. Not a fan anymore. I just hope the s10+ can handle call of duty on a daily basis
