With this processor, Moto should have priced this phone around 40k to 42k without any bank offers and discounts .... The only reason is because if they can price moto edge 50 pro under 32k .... The only differences are a periscope 64mp camera and 8sGen 3 processor nothing else

A comment like this proves that brands are succeeding in their numbers game. While these two phones do share a few specs with each other, they are in fact, quite a few differences between them. Are they enough to justify almost the double price difference gap? Absolutely not. Is the Ultra way better and least crippled (compared to the Edge 30 Pro)? Absolutely yes. IMHO, 40-42k, that too without bank discounts, maybe too much of an ask. But, sub 50k without bank offers, and like Pratik said, sub 45k after discounts, would have been a killer deal. Of course, we are all just indulging in wishful thinking 😅

A good trend is Periscope lens getting added to phones in phones above 30k which is really important and good thing to have unlike 2mp macros we saw for the past 2 years. Wish OnePlus also releases a T version of their 12R and add telephoto to it. For me it's a must have coz whenever you are clicking pictures of friends and family that portrait lens comes in very handy or when you are capturing something that is far away.

I have been using Moto edge 30 for almost 2 years now and the phone never gave me any trouble except a few days ago when for 3 days it wasn't charging properly. The charging speed won't cross above 3.2V@0.5A which meant I had to literally charge it while switched off. I tried using different chargers and it didn't help but the battery backup/performance wasn't affected so I thought it must be the port. But on the 3rd day, miraculously, it started fast charging again! Haven't faced any issue since. No software updates were involved. No malicious apps that I could find. Guess it will forever remain a mystery but I am glad the issue is resolved! And yes. The updates situation is crazy on Moto. Same as my last moto phone the moto G4+, they promised 2 OS updates and only provided 1. Atleast as of now. It's been more than 1½ year since I received the Android 13 update and it seems there's no 14 incoming! Those are the only 2 complaints i have for my phone which in retrospect isn't much since the phone is running great and is receiving security updates regularly!

Three things to consider before buying this phone 1) Battery life would be poor after a year of usage as it's only 4500mah and charges at 125W. 2) Software updates are already questioned with moto and if this phone doesn't sell well, don't expect an update in less than 3-4 months. 3) The pricing at 59,999 it's competing against OnePlus 12 which I am daily driving is probably way better than this phone in terms of battery life,display, performance and cameras. They should have managed to get a 12/256 and a 16/512 variants and tried to reduce the pricing by 5k atleast. Anyways I think it's not gonna sell well for this price and will drop to 45kish in the upcoming Months. Then it will be a good deal. Go for it if you're tempted by the features it offers and you get under 50k but if you're cross shopping with OP12 then it's a inferior product with same price and lower brand value

Read into it, the way GSMArena tests battery life in a very lab setting and not a real world use case. You can adjust the sliders on their page and get a Probable use time which doesn't necessarily translate to real usage. I am not saying the battery life is bad on moto, I am saying it's going to degrade quicker also, so extra physical capacity helps. Also it has a less power hungry chip than the flagship 8gen3. Also see real world SOTs of reviews from India they are all averaging 5-6 hours on medium usage

@@Captaincoolmax That is is a less power hungry chip makes the battery degrade slower. Yes, faster charging means more heat = faster battery degradation. A cooler running phone degrades slower. If the Chipset takes a lot of power, it causes heating. My edge 30U is on around 4350 of 4610mah Max capacity after almost 2 Years, the phone has always been charged with the 125W charger. It's just that the phone doesn't run all that hot otherwise, the highest peak I can get out of this phone while gaming, screen recording it and watching twitch stream in mini Window at the same time is 42°C. It seems to be impossible for my phone to get hotter than that on it's own.

Dear buyers: For the price this phone doesn't make any sense guys. Also when comparing against edge 50 pro, the only missing in edge 50 pro is the periscope camera and AI magic canvas. Thats it!! And, the magic canvas output is not upto the mark, the output is not well detailed, can't generate high-res quality photos. .if you're so paranoid about magic canvas..use Gemini or dalle . Aymn, It is available in any device works in any browser and can produce detailed crisp high quality photos . If you are picking this phone for performance...it's a strict no-no! In this price range or if you can extend your budget a few lill more you can get 8 gen 3 . Like iqoo 12, OP 12 etc. Or the poco f6 for the steal deal with 8s gen 3. The only thing that could and may might make sense for some people would be the periscope camera. But think for a sec . You'll use very-very rarely. If periscope is only your priority you can pick the Realme 12 pro+. But hey telephoto lens is actually enough. Or you can buy a dedicated module that goes in any phone camera lens which can produce far better range and quality photos. Here's my conclusion....for an average user...pick edge 50 pro if your are towards this phone. Trust me it won't disappoint you. .ufs 2.2 is well optimized in this phone... casual gaming(or twice or thrice daily) can easily handle with this phone. Paying 20k+ more for a phone with only 2 upgrades isn't worth it. Yes rest are all the same!! Hardcore gamer?? Extend your budget get 8 gen 3 phones. Gamer under mid-range budget?? Get poco f6 . Camera in this segment?? 50 pro , civi 14, Realme 12 pro+ . Camera+performance = Civi 14 Best all rounder = edge 50 pro Only cam = Realme 12 pro+ Mid-Budget steal = edge 50 fusion (slight gaming)

I'm a Moto User and have been using One Fusion Plus for almost 4 years now. The software experience, overall durability and build of the phone is good but the issue now I face is of overheating even during simple scrolling or KZbin usage. Another difficulty which I faced was to get a proper repair centre, even I didn't get the correct tempered glass for the phone which I'm using from offline stores and for each and every accessory, online purchase is the only option. Service in terms of Moto is very poor when compared to Vivo or Samsung or OnePlus
