Hey Folks! Welcome back to a new video. The Android 13 One UI 5 has started rolling out officially for Samsung galaxy smartphones starting with the Galaxy S22 lineup first of all. In this video, I have explained how you can install this update manually without waiting for the OTA update. This method is a bit tricky so you have to pay full attention to the video without any distractions. I have demonstrated the method on my Galaxy S22 Ultra, but this will work for any Samsung phone given that the firmware update is available for your model number. I honestly think us people with the unlocked version are specifically being pushed to the back of the line. Why? because the big carriers get first dibs due to contract sales with Samsung. This is more incentive to buy the phone directly from a carrier.

Hey man, idk if u check the comments anymore but im having a massive pain troubleshooting my update problem. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20+. My carrier is Straight Talk but my CSC is ATT. My phone has been stuck on Android 11, OneUI 3.0 for nearly 3 years. When I try to update, it says "Update interrupted" and doesnt find an update. Ive tried everything. I wanted to try this as a last resort, but apparently the ATT csc code isnt supported by Frija. Idk what to do and its rly irritating me as I need OneUI 5 for something i am trying to get working on my phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Frija wasn't able to download the firmware for me, so i downloaded it manually from samfw. Then i flashed with odin.

Its completely up to you, this method that I have shown in this video is completely safe and keeps things intact as long as you carefully follow the method. As for the update arrival, I guess it will arrive within a month at max.

No. Like any other locked phone with a service provider it will still be locked to them, when buying a carrier locked phone the person selling has to know someone to carrier unlock it, or pay the phone in full and have their service provider unlock it. If not you'll be stuck with a carrier locked phone.
