Bought my teclast t30 after your review and it has been working pretty well. It's actually my main working "tool" along with the keyboard. I've updated the room to a custom one and it improved the screen touch response. Was thinking on changing to the chuwi minibook mainly because of Windows but the battery... Meh. Btw Chris, I think the new Blackview tab 11 has widevine lvl 1 and it costs around 200€. Not sure about the rest of the specs but only the screen and the widevine lvl already makes it look good for media consumption. Thanks for another amazing review!

You have several different rooms. I've installed "hybrid ROM 1.04 / 1.05 (Android 9)" available on XDA, mainly because it's very simple to install via flashtool. The refresh rate is around 53hz and it's now 60hz. Not a major change but noticeable

The last Teclast tablet I owned was the TPad98 and it was really good. That I could make and receive phone calls from it was a real bonus. I actually stopped carrying my phone with me in favour of the TPad98 as I found it's a lot more difficult to constantly be on your phone when it is 10 inches in size. Then one day I dropped it and a crack appeared that was a little loop in the top right corner (in portrait), not a great problem you might think but the only part of the screen that still worked was inside that little loop and the rest of it was dead. I might dump my phone again and go back to something like this.

This does support US network band 2 right? It's been tough finding tablets that support Sim Cards for the US. Wish it had more US bands like the Umidigi Tablet, , but this has a way better processor.

I messed up and bought the Teclast T40 Plus and not the Pro 😄but I'm not going to return it my mistake I'll live with it but the tablet works well and feels good in the hand it's faster than my Amazon Fire HD 10 which what I wanted mainly. The phone part would not get 4G for me on t-mobile but I wasn't expecting it to work well with US carriers anyway 🤷🏿‍♂️ other than that it does all the things one would expect an Android tablet to do

Hi, Great video. II recently purchased a Teclast T40 Pro and generally very pleased apart from not being able to use it as an FPV monitor. Normally I connect up my mobile phone to an Eachine ROTG01 Pro receiver which gives a great picture on the 5" screen from the aircraft mini camera. I just get a Google message about no permissions given. Anyone any idea how I get some success here??

This tablet has many pro's but also some cons. Pro's are the build quality, great screen resolution, fast processor and of course, great price. Cons are mainly limited to the slow internet speed (maximum I can get is about 30gbps) and the fact that several Apps only work in the portrait position and wont rotate to horizontal when the tablet is turned, including Facebook and Blink, which is very annoying and unhelpful. Battery life is average as is the brightness of the screen. Overall though, the pro's outweigh the cons and for the price, I am very satisfied with this tablet.

I needed a tablet I could get online with LTE service here in the states. Unfortunatly it would not connect well with my T Mobile 4G LTE sim card. At best it would show 3 bars of "e" service. Which is between 2 and 3 G and therefore no service here. Sent it back and bought a refurbished Tab S4 for the same price.

@@tetsuyakuroko5629 yes it's very nice. It's pretty heavy tho, but I like the metal build. Even the sound is crisp, which is amazing for cheap tablet. Compatible with google and Microsoft apps, which I use heavily for my work. Even gaming is smooth tho the battery drained quite fast, even draining while on sleep. Pretty weird to me. Overall, i highly recommend because it's cheap.

Do Unisoc chips have open kernels ? At the moment for durability I know only snapdragons. When the support is closed by the manufacturer several years after the release, it's always good to be able to install custom roms to keep the system up to date the table usable.

i bought this tablet according to this review .. but unfortunately the one which i have received is ok in general use but it has big problem that it can not run 60 fps video well and just get laggy because of refresh rate,, i don't know if this issue in all teclast t40 pro or just in mine with model id T1B1 ... the refresh rate of screen shows 54 hz and not 60 hz ... i don't know how to solve this problem ...

I own the T10 and T30. Roms are buggy on both, though not as terrible on the T30. Still, with import tax in certain parts of Europe I don't think they're worth the money.

Nothing sadly, your best bet is a Surface Pro. The 11th Gen Alldocube iwork GT was bad and I can't think of any I would recommend expect get the original and best one the Surface pro series.

Has Teclast improved in terms of quality? I remember those Dualboot-Tablet-Days 2013 and I had some Chinese devices from Teclast, Onda and so on and they had a very bad quality. They broke pretty fast, the teclast only held a few days and the Onda wasn't usable after 2 hours.

This tablet seems good quality wise better than the older models. My DB Teclast X98 Air III still works.! But the battery lasts around 2 hours after so many years and the plastic buttons broke so we need to use a plastic tool to push the power on. Which I don't think is bad as it's my kids tablet for watching KZbin kids.

@@freedcrypto Yeah, that was very poor... Since then I've sworn to never buy an Onda product again. I've read many reports about faulty products from them. I don't know how their quality is today, but I think I won't give that a try. Teclast wasn't good for me back then either, but still better than Onda.
