Thanks for this. I got a slightly different looking one - very cheap from Ebay. Works just the same with my x98 3g, but only charges when using the USB at the same time when booted to Windows. In Android, you can either charge OR use the USB ports, but not at the same time. Thanks again

Could you open the housing white USB and black USB hub and measure the resistance of the resistor on USB pins? The different in the resistors.

Hi Chris. Are you able to clear up the confusion regarding the the max capacity that the Teclast tablets can handle, especially in Android boot? I think the advertised 128gb is correct for the Windows boot. it's rather annoying that the two systems handle different capacities. Lastly, do you know if the Onda equivalent is more straightforward? Many thanks.

Android 64gb and Windows 128gb. Ondas v919 Air CH is worse than this unit. Smaller battery, worse off design and mono speaker. Plus its got larger black borders.

Hi Cris is there some sort of stylus/pen that can work with this tablet? Does the cube i7 stylus work with the teclast? And generally is there a good 4:3 aspect tablet which can work with a good pen to take notes and annotate pdfs etc. Thanks a lot.

No the i7 Stylus is a wacom stylus so the tablet need to support this. And the X98 Pro doesn't support any styluses. You could use a cheap rubber tipped stlyus/pen but its not accurate and gives poor feedback.

Any device..let it be a laptop, mobiel, tablet pc...charging even after its 100%, surely effects the battery life. I know that x98 pro has a bit lesser battery life coz of dual os,4gb ram and high end graphics....i do not know , how its gonna help a x98pro with continous charging.

+Yosef “yosef019” Elgart Not that I know of, the X98 Pro micro USB port is only USB 2.0. Which is a shame as Cherry Trail supports USB 3.0.

+DangerousBunny This is the best gaming Cherry Trail tablet for $215 at the moment. Even if it does throttle a little it's still faster. All the Atoms will throttle by the way, they are passively cooled chipsets, no active fan onboard. Maybe the new Hi10 might be better, it's not out yet.

+Abod Ali i have one of these (see my comment below for link of the one i got) i've found it'll charge the tablet at up to 9watts, which is quite nice, but not QUITE enough to be able to do any serious work on the tablet for an extended period of time. (while compiling and simulating VHDL, it'll loose a couple of % per hour depending on screen brightness)
